And if you don't think Nirvana was one of the most influential bands of all time then you sir are what is wrong with the world.

That is all.

Carry on.

His band did help shape the music scene at the time. That doesn't mean much in day to day life. No band does. Not even the stinking Beatles.

Speaking of which.......I wonder if sweetie pie could tell you who this is?

You actually think they would still be together? As great as Nirvana was, if Cobain was still alive, no way that band would have lasted this long.

jack....when you were growing up,were you all caught up in "bands" and music?....we grew up in the same area.....

i`m always surprised when i hear guys talking about "bands'"...i don`t think i could name one song from nirvana...and if you put kobain in a lineup,i definitely couldn`t pick him out.... ..we liked music(mostly motown).....but getting all caught up in "bands" was something our girlfriends did....we were mostly into sports when we were younger.....

not a put down...guess it just depends on where /when you grew up and your outside influences....... we didn`t have all these different types of social media back in the middle ages...

different strokes and all that........

Oh shit the second thing i agree with ya on :mj07: i bought one tape in my lifetime. I don't know the words to any songs but maybe a couple in a few. I went to one concert. These guys who need the best speakers on the planet crack me up. I can listen to music on my A.M. radio and couldn't care less how it sounds.

great point. And my comment was just that it seems in the last 25 years, anytime there is a band that would seem like they have the staying power just in terms of their music, they never stay together as a group.
