It's tough in games like those. Maine's leading scorer only had 20 points. They had eight guys in double figures. 65 points off the bench. Maine did take 33 3-pointers, though.

i have no problem with maine playing like that. their high scorer had 20 points, its not like they were stat padding with their stars. they had 65 poitns off the bench. you cant stopp playing basketball because the team you are playing sucks. sorry but its competitive collegiate basketball, not a recreation league for 10 yr olds. and those kids on maine who never play and got in were excited to play so they played good too. thats what happens when you have such bad matchups. are you crying when florida beats up the citadel in college football? the other school isnt forced into this matchup, they accept it knowing they are clearly over powered.

I agree 100% with everything you said and to just add a little bit to it.

There is a shot clock so it isnt like a team can just pound the air out of the ball they have to take a shot and it is much more degrading in my opinion to just stand there and let the clock run out. Exactly like Portis said these teams know what they are getting into when they play these games, Im sure Maine could have scored 180 had they left starters and such but some of those kids wont get another chance to play all year and tonite makes their nite and they are after all playing college ball against another college team.
