Who?s In ?

With a little over a month to go it?s time to get serious about who makes the gate for the first Saturday in May. I realize we have some big preps still to be played out, but I really don?t think there will be any big surprises to come out of those races. That said, here are my picks to ?Make The Gate?. Keep in mind; these picks are based on earnings, trainer comments and of course the use of a crystal ball. I would enjoy your comments.

Lookin At Lucky $1,390,000 in earnings. Will run in the SA Derby for fun.

Noble's Promise $708,000 in earnings, likewise, doesn?t need the money. Will race in the Arkansas Derby.
Got a feeling this one is gonna skip the Derby.

Rule $645,000 in earnings. Appears to be Pletcher?s #1. Long time between races??? OUT

Ice Box $457,500 in earnings. Mr. Z?s only horse and I like his style. Long time between races???

Discreetly Mine Another Pletcher, will probably be used as a ?rabbit?.

Dublin D. Wayne?s hope has yet to win, maybe he?ll get his picture taken in Arkansas.

Interactif Suffers from seconditis. My guess, he ducks the SA Derby and runs for the money in the Blue Grass.
Hate to see it, but I don't think he's gonna make it. OUT

Aikenite Pletcher?s little sleeper will run a BIG race in the Blue Grass.
Didn't get the money.OUT

Awesome Act Will probably end up the favorite in the Wood and needs to finish in the money.

Conveyance Baffert?s ?rabbit?. If he gets in with earnings.

Odysseus This is a scary horse, if he gets a clean race in the Blue Grass and wins, he could be the favorite in the Derby. Injury out.OUT

Sidney's Candy With a good showing in the SA Derby he?ll be going to KY. Distance is my main concern.

Backtalk May duck the Arkansas Derby for the Illinois Derby, either way I like his chances.

Pleasant Prince Tuff horse if he gets a clear run.

Eskendereya Needs to win the Wood to stay in most top 5.OUT

Schoolyard Dreams Illinois bound and needs the money.
I gotta quit smokin' that shit! He's out.OUT

Dean?s Kitten Big race, big win, he?s in.

Northern Giant D. Wayne says he needs another race for the money. Blue Grass?
May need two more races if he keeps running like he did in his last.OUT

Mission Impazible Big race, big win, he?s in.

Endorsement Big race, big win, he?s in.OUT

Well, there you have it. Agree or disagree?:toast:

Schoolyard Dreams is going to the Wood now. Thought the Illinois derby was his to lose and he needs the dough. Can't say I agree with this move going up against Awesome Act, Eskenderaya, Jackson bend and probably only the 1-2 finishers from the Wood will go to the Derby. Tough race in NY.
