I have been waiting for Baylor to fall on their face the whole tournament and thus I have obviously been wrong to this point.
I think the line on this game should be about 5 or 6, so the fact that it's 8 makes me think Vegas is trying to goad the public into taking the dog. I thought there was a similar thing happening with the UK-Indiana game (thought the line should have been 7) and I think that's definitely what was happening there.
To be sure, Baylor has definitely played well this tournament but they also haven't exactly been beating juggernauts. And even though they beat Colorado by 17 that game was neck and neck until Baylor went on a 19-3 run to close the game. In fact, except for beating Kansas in the Big 12 tourney, Baylor doesn't have a truly impressive win on the year.
I generally only like to bet dogs if I think they have a chance to win outright, and I just don't see it here. For me it's either Kentucky or pass.
