As an attempt to add a little sports flavor to the General Discussion Forum, I will ATTEMPT to post a poll about a current sports story each weekday to see where everyone stands. Feel free to post your comments as to why you voted the way that you did.

Today's topic is tonight's NBA Draft. I think we all know who is going to go #1 because proffessional teams seem to do the wrong thing for their team quite often. I am not saying that LeBron is or is not the best player, but for some reason it seems that teams are not even considering the other two top players in this draft as their pick.

LeBron will bring instant revenue to the team. Shoes, Jerseys, Head Bands, and LeBron mouthpieces will be flying off of the shelves with the subsequent team gaining financially. Even though this may not be best for the team, there is still validity to choosing him for this reason.

So, MadJackers, who would you choose if your ping pong ball appeared first?

Anything less than a Kobe like career and Lebron will be considered a bust. Just way too much hype. There's no way he can live up to it. The guys that have really hit it big time came from good backgrounds, not ghettofabulous playground superstars. I'd love to see a prop on his PPG his rookie year. I will take the under.

2 different ideas for 2 different teams. If I had a team that may make a run in the next 2-3 years I would take Anthony.

If I was rebuilding for the 3-5 year mark I would take James.

Not taking the team in consideration, I would take James. He is more of a true #1 (position) and he distributes the ball while Anthony is more of a pure scorer and try to surround him with vets and big bodies. dance2

Good points. I am surprised that nobody yet has selected Darko. He is a very talented and somewhat proven player.

I think there will be too much pressure for LeBron to handle. These teams that have a good shot at getting him usually do not have a veteran player to mentor him. Anthony seems to be very mature in his actions and interviews. I would definitely let they weigh in on my decision.

This 18 year old going on 21 should find a hand holder. Few of the boys in the NBA will test him fast. And I agree he has to come up to top 10 of all time when his carrer is done. Or he's a bust.
