Yeah, I was looking at those figures a few minutes ago. Disturbing trend going on and I have to think it has a lot to do with Conference Openers starting up next week, the lack of student support....some of these gyms are hybrid ghost towns, opponents aren't being taken too serioulsy, the NEW Years celebration coming tom......players are psychologically out of it......had finals in the last couple of weeks. With that being said, I think I will playing this angle Sunday that grabs the points in many of these matchups. It was a little disturbing to see heavy chalk teams giving away too many points. IE: Syracuse Orange -25: Bonnies played them tough and were up at halfime..........Orange appeared to be going through the motions and turned it on with 5 min left . What about Florida -20 who were down at half. They could've easily lost that game, Another was Kentucky Wildcats that were only up by 6 at half....didn;t cover the second half either.

All of this make me think that the kids are ready to party and haven't been playing what they are capable.

With that said..............I'm looking at Siena +20. San Jose St +30, Georgia St. +31, Dayton +22 and Northeaster +15.....I also think there is some value in Washingto U line...........seems too high for conference play.

I may play all of these on the ML and hope for a couple of upsets.....................Home teams of substance playing smaller conf teams just don't seem to care much, so I will attribute the lack of motivation to looking ahead to the conference. This provides the right mindset for a team with nothing to lose to give their best efforts and possibly tip the cart. Good Luck.................maybe a parlay on all teams to stay inside the numbers.....GLuck

Woody --

I don't think you'll find a ML on any game where a team is favored by more than 15 or so..

I heard a local radio announcer the other night give a recipe for upsets: great D and great outside shooting from the dog. Specifically, he was discussing UAlbany's upset of Utah. Makes a lot of sense.

In terms of upsets, this might be something to look for: teams that can play good D (that's why the Ivys are always a good bet to cover a big number with their Princeton-style Os) and have been shooting well behind the arc.

For todays games, I wouldn't waste my money on Siena: Siena has had very inconsistent D, and is shooting just 28% from 3 pt land. Plus MD has a good 3 pt D and a strong O that I don't think Siena can stop.

Interesting discussion. Buddy -- thanks for sharing your observations, I always read your posts with keen interest.
