Terrell Owens may get his wish after all.

According to a report in Newsday, arbitrator Richard Bloch is expected to reduce Owens' four-game suspension from four games to one or two games later Wednesday.

Owens was suspended four games by Reid for conduct detrimental to the team November 9. The NFL Players Association is seeking to have the suspension reduced and wants the Eagles to cut Owens if they have no intention of playing him again.

The report indicates that the Eagles, who planned to de-activate Owens for the remainder of the season, will release the mercurial superstar receiver instead. Philadelphia is concerned that Owens will cause a distraction if the ruling allows him to return to the Eagles' practice facility.

Owens has stated all along that he wants to return to the Eagles, but would want to be released if Philadelphia didn't plan to play him. If released, Owens would go through the league's waiver system, with the worst team getting the first shot of claiming him.

Owens is making a base salary of $3.75 million this season.

No one ever mentions Minny with TO. Its a shot in the dark, but they have seem to righted the ship or boat(whatever you prefer). They already have problems and I think TO will be on his best behavior playing for a contract. Tice has nothing to lose with this gamble, its just a question if new owner Ziggy would pull the trigger.

Other possibilities: Denver, Dallas....maybe SKins since they are reeling....Snyder would pay, Gibbs probably wouldnt want him though.

TO will have to clear waivers, which goes in reverse order of record. So yes if the Texans or Jets wanted to claim him they'd get first crack.

Man I'd laugh if he was sent to Houston, but I see no reason for a team already out of it to add to their cap. I'm also sure whatever team claims Owens is only going to hold onto him for the rest of this year.

espn radio, sal palantonio(sp?)(my inner cirlce)......Eagles won the arbitration case, suspension is upheld and they can deactivate him, so he won't be a distraction.....so he won't be able to show up to the facilities but the eagles will still have to pay him....

He will sit the year out after all

He will sit the year out after all

Arbitrator rules the Eagles were justified in taking action based on Terrell acting like a f*cknut. This'll never wash,a modern day spoiled athlete having to be accountable for his behavior?

TO
I'm I still going to hear about TO for the rest of the season each and every Sunday or when will this stop?

Which team would want a complete reject who will distrub the team even though he is such a good athlete/player. And who would pay this dude this money without a 'SHUT THE HELL UP' clause in his contract. I think he needs a muzzle.

Owens was set to earn base salaries of $770,000 in 2006, $5.5 million in 2007, $6.5 million in 2008, $7.5 million in 2009, and $8.5 million in 2010.

Dallas has Keyshawn and I can't see Jerry snapping up T.O and all his BS in a hurry- but why would any team want to? The guy is clearly a solid reciever but all the crap that dribbles from his mouth in all his interviews etc. will only attract negative attention to the club he ends up at. This guy gives the true meaning to the word 'slick' imo.

I think Owens could wind up in a Broncos uniform next season because their receiver position could use an upgrade...Rod Smith will turn 50 next season and although he's had a decent season you have to wonder how much more he has left in his tank...Asley Lelie has been somewhat of a dissapointment and can't be counted on game in and game out and their depth (Watts and Devoe) aren't anything more then a #2 receiver AT BEST...and of course...Shanahan has never been afraid to take a chance on a player - (D-Linemen -Courtney Brown, Gerard Warren, Enenezer Ekuban and Michael Myers from Cleveland) and do I dare mention HB Maurice Clarett :mj03: with the last pick in the 3rd round of the 2005 Draft.
