They Have Preached For Parity
Now,I really belive they are as close as they are gonna come. If this,THE BIG GAME,were to end in a tie at the end of regulation, how can they,u,or I be satisfide with the out come. When it could just matter on the out come of a coin flip. CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES should be won by the last man standing. It just makes me sick, each team can't have the ball at least once before the out come is decided. Anyone esle feel tha same?

I know that a lot of people feel the same way as you do about it, but I disagree. It has been this way for years and just now people are starting to complain about it. Defense is part of the game and I think this way makes it important. People automatically think the team that wins the coin toss wins the game, but the % of that is not as high as everyone makes it out to be. The college way is good for college, the pro way is good for pro.

I believe the percentage is 52-48, teams that win the toss winning the game.

But that being said, I still like the idea of the college OT.

I would vote to keep the current OT system. I just dont understand all this complaining the past year. If your defense cannot stop the other team you deserve to lose. The college system takes alot of strategy out of the game. Plus it could go on forever (6 OTs; no thank you). Lets keep what we have.

Giving each team the ball on the other team's 25 yard line is not football. The current system is better than anything else that's been proposed. I'm opposed to changing it just as I'd hate to see a shootout to end NHL games or a homerun hitting contest to end baseball games. That's not how the first 60 minutes are played.

And it's correct, the %'s are not that out of whack. The team winning the toss wins ~very slightly~ more than half the time. However if they punt on first possession the odds turn heavily in favor of the other team winning.

See Tha Paper Today?

knew I wasn't the only one that felt this way. Didn't say give tha ball on tha25. Hell,OT, Kick off to Team A Team A drives to score. Kick off to Team B. Team b doesn't score,Game over. If not, Team A kicks off, Team B returns for td. Team B kicks off Team A Team A Drives to score. TIED. Team A kicks off holds. Team B holds Team A. Play till a winner. Don't say players can't with stand that kind of punhishment. The money they make they need to play a 8 hour game and not even cry to momma one bit.

:Yep:
