Oaklands ? Woman calls it a night. In wrong bed.admin | January 17, 2011 in News
15 January 2011 ? 0320 ? Hillside Avenue ? A unit was sent to an unwanted guest call in an apartment building. The officers learned that a man was asleep in the dead of night when he awakened thinking that he heard his apartment door open. A few minutes later a woman came into his bedroom, promptly disrobed, slid into the bed next to him and fell asleep. The difficulty here was that the man lives on his own last time he checked.
When officers arrived they duly found a woman sound asleep in the man?s bed. She apeared to be quite intoxicated. Investigation revealed that the woman had the apartment number and basic location correct it just that she was on the wrong floor. One officer went down to the floor where she belonged and found her purse, jacket and shoes on the floor in front of the proper suite. Despite their efforts to raise anyone inside no one in the correct suite would answer the door.
With nowhere else to go the officers had to lodge her in cells for a few hours until she was sober enough to take care of herself
