I really don't understand the purpose of commenting on a live game.

Don't be so Fifacing serious. I do lots of things that don't always have a scientific purpose.

Assuming that was directed to me.

As much as I hate to agree with EMJ....there is no reason to keep cluttering up this forum with constant game updates. I think everyone here knows how to read a scoreboard. I'm sure this will fall on deaf ears especially with all the traffic this site will get this football season, but some nights it just gets unreal. There is plenty of good info that gets bumped down every night because somebody with a 2 game parlay is losing the second game 4-2 in the 2nd inning.

Midnight eastern time, all games coming to a close. I hope I did't clutter up this forum
tonight and bump a bunch of valuable posting down to the bottom, I doubt it at this time of night. Excuse me ! Didn't mean to walk in anyones space. Been a while since I got corrected and put in my place (my wife was the last person). Usually, keep to my self as much as possible(for this reason), and try not to clutter things up too much.

Allnet, What sedative are you on?

You are entirely too calm and collected. Please feel free to post whatever and whenever. Your input is always greatly appreciated.

Allnet, you are entitled to post your comments. I am also entitled to state my opinion. This message was not directed to anyone as an individual.

FWIW, prior to my message, 3 of the last 5 messages were commentary during a live game. Personally, I don't see the point of doing play by play.

my 2 cents, when i am at work, i would rather read a game update here than to go to espn or cbs sportsline. esp if the poster has the same game as i do. sort of like live game updates on the screen instead of tv ones. TOM

exactly tj..it is nice when espn has a scoring delay of 5 minutes!! to get the updates from a poster watching it on tv is amazing...that is also why MJ's is the best forum in the world...instant updates and quickest updates on the net...i remember 6 months ago when i bet on a first round conference play in ncaa and it was some scrub team from tenn..like chattanooga or something...and espn yahoo didnt have live updates...i was in the office at my previous job and a madjacker in texas had it on the radio...he gave me play by play in hoops..can you believe it....the thread ended up having close to 100 posts...that is why MJ's is the best in my mind....GL to all.

visionary, the same thing happened to me (on another site). before the delay, this poster had clued me in throughout the entire game and thought i had lost (from the delay) reports. he had told me i actually won 4-5 minutes before espn posted it. from that day, i would rather get the sknny from someone here than an internet update. just my opinion. thanks!!

You guys should try out the Chatroom of this website then. Even better than posting play by play in the threads because it's instantaneous and you can shoot the chit in there.
