Please sombody tell me. I have read many posts and and all tampa fans have to say is they will win. Or take the points. Does anyone have any good reasoning behind there pick.

Offense- Philly is beter

D- close call but has to be philly at home

Special teams - again goes to philly

Coaching- toss up

And once again philly is at home in very cold weather.

Im all over the eagles here

just wondering if any of you tampa bay fans have a better explanation than " they will win " or "i gotta take the points" looking for some reasoning behind your picks.

GL to all philly backers like oakland tommarrow too

treynolds, I think the same as you. Now, we have to see the game as gambling not as a NFC Championship game. By how many points do you think the eagles could won????. Lets see vegas put it as a 4 points favorite, but only as a 1 point fav team in any field. Everyone that thinks that this is a different team because its a gruden?s team can be wrong. I think that vet stadium worths the 3 points (including weather etc. etc.) I will take eagles off vs bucs def vs tb off vs phi vs def anytime, what I mean is that one of this off will need to show up and I think eagles has a better chance. Ok, maybe a lot of us will take the number 1 def, but eagles def is just as good as bucs. For me this game should be a 13+ win by the eagles, I just dont see any bucs off tomorrow, but again this is gambling, also a lot of people likes the under, also me in a not gambling situation, but Vegas its not a fool, they know that they will get action on eagles but alsothat they will get actio on the under and thats how they will compensate the eagles action so, for me its eagles and over all the Fu****** way.

Jessy, my rational thinking shows me Philly and the under have all the money, and yes, maybe Philly wins and over to compensate the equilibrium, but, what about a tampa and under game? to compesate the under?? the money is all over philly and maybe vegas wants more the big money and that's philly, not the under, good luck buddy, maybe I am away of this game, tomorrow in the window I will decide this!! good night I go to the bed! :D

I tend to agree with the point of view that it's hard to make a case for TAMPA winning the game. The question is -- will PHILA cover the 4?

That's a quantum leap in terms of certainty.

PHILA has a reputation in games like this of playing close for three quarters, then slam-dunking the game in the 4th quarter with a late insurance TD (i.e. ATL). In what is expected to be a low-scoring game 4 points is a premium, and certainly wirth considering.

My money is on PHILA to win the game on the moneyline. I got this at -185 early in the week and it's now up to -200. I say that TAMPA wins this game maybe one in four tries, for a slight overlay to the -200.

Looks very much like a game where field posistion will be critical. I look for Eagles to win with several FGs. thus making the line open to question.

Point taken in winning the game im on the ML and the -4 also, but looking at this game its hard for me to see the eagles winning by less the 4 points. I keep on coming up with numbers of philly by 6-13 points. The weather sunday may hurt the eagles scoring, but we know that it will be a bigger factor for T.B.

Tampa's offense wasnt that good last week it was just the 9'ers d was that bad. I dont see this game being any closer than 6 points.

Im not saying its lock by any means but it looks like a very strong play. Philly is a very strong team at home, trends point to philly and its seems that many of the great hadicappers on this site are on philly also.

LAY THE POINTS all philly has to do is score 17 and they get a cover. I see philly winning 20-10

Been following this message forum this season, always good stuff?Nolan, always class write-ups ? many thanks for your efforts.

I'll kick out a few thoughts on Tampa...

Same old Bucs going to Philly to take their beating, but cliche as it might sound, I do think this is a different Bucs team. They do have a new coach, new receivers, and a different style of offense than previous Bucs teams. With that, a repeat or taking game analysis value in Tampa's beating in the last 2 playoff games versus Philly should be small, but I think it does linger strong in the memory of most.

These teams did meet earlier in the year, week 7, with a Philly win at the Vet, 20-10. Reviewing the stats of that game, Philly's stand out advantage was on D, 6 sacks and not allowing an offensive TD. Tampa's D allowed only 12 completions, scored a TD, and had 2 sacks. Point is the obvious; both teams contained, for the most part, each others offense with their D.

The difference today is a trend with the offense for Tampa. They seem to be putting up more points on the board than earlier in the season when Brad Johnson is quarterbacking. Last week was both quarterbacks first game back after being out for a few weeks. McNabb faced the better D and looked okay for his first game in 7+ weeks. Johnson faced a week D and looked great in first game back in 4+ weeks.

The defense for TB does turns up the speed dial up a notch and Philly turns up the blitz/power dial up a couple of notches, compared to the defenses these 2 teams faced last week. Tampa has seen the Blitz packages of Philly in the earlier game this year and I think a Gruden Offense can account for that better than a Reid Offense can account for Tampa's quick Defense. I take Brad Johnson winning the quarterback match up.

Both very good teams overall, coached well, strong defenses...Gotta luv this game.

I think the advantage is to the Bucs catching more than a field goal.

GL on your plays today

Why the Bucs?

Why the Bucs?

Treynolds, It is understandable that you feel the Bucs O had an easy trip last week. The fact of the matter is that they are playing well as a unit and have finally gotten somewhat comfortable with thier 4th new offensive scheme in the last 4 yrs. I feel gruden is one of the best offensive minds in football and now he has an offense that can at least execute some of what he is calling. In the first game this year between these two teams they could not execute anything, so the play calling really did not matter. The Bucs defense is another story. They will make McNabb look bad today. I understand that he looked great last week and is apparently healthy but this week he is going to have to play at warp speed to beat these Tampa defenders and I just don't feel he is there yet. Sure he put up O.K. numbers against the ATL but this ATL defense also allowed the BUCS 30+ a few weeks ago. If the officials don't call that holding call against atl in that game when Vick scored you have a different game altogether. I have a tremendous amount of respect for the Eagles, they are extremely talented. Let me put it to you this way. I would take the BUCS +4 against anyone, anywhere and at anytime. Just the way I would take the Eagles +4 against anyone, anywhere at anytime. Four is way too much to give either one of these teams. Take the points

On the course!
Tampa can't beat the speed of the Philly defense. PERIOD!

This should be a nice snoozer, with the Igles coming up "super". Oh, and covering the now 4' point line, too!

XYZ, The speed of WHAT!!! You must be smoking something. There is no SPEED on the Philly defense. They are extremely talented and a very physical group. But there is NO SPEED on the Philly defense.

Speed

Speed

there is no speed on the bucs offense either. why do we analyze
the bucs games without Brad johnson but we dont analyze the Eagles games without Mr. McNabb or should I say use for an excuse. I dont know about the Bucs on this site but I live in the Tampa Bay area since 1988 and i dont know what team you guys are watching. no runinng game,no speed at wr,a horrible offensive line,a accurate qb but not very mobil,a defense that gives up big plays and you can run at them (new orleans twice, philadelphia the 1st time, pittsburgh) A tam that does not acth up well with psychical, blitzing teams. I went to both steelers games (1- this year 1-last year) the same result LOSES at home no less..The Bucs come out and try to be bullies and if show fear (
packers) they will feed off t. But if you push back and start fighting and pushing them back they will give up.The eagles in my opinion are the most Psychical Team in the NFL bar none.. they have been going one step further each year in the playoffs, now they take the last step on the journey and to go the Super Bowl
and get revenge on the Raiders for the last Super Bowl they played each other. The Bucs will be happy with there season when it ends today. all year the fans said they did not want to play philadelphia ever again and now they have added the Steelers to that list. This is actually the team the Bucs did not want to face.
