Phil -3 1/2... They have a better offense, defense and kicking game-and home field advantage. Get real Philly all the way.
Tenn+8... what makes Oakland so powerful anyway. Plus the fact that many here are giving up over a TD is crazy. Let's be serious-Tenn covers.

Just a word of caution the Phil. defense is not better than Tampa's. Stats say they should keep the score very close & could win it outright. I bet Philly also but I feel their offense will win it before the defense does. Turn overs can make both of us wrong. Don't overbet on this one.
Tampa D getting little respect in this game. Philadelphia may win this game but not easily. We know the last two years the Eagles beat this TB team in the playoffs in Philadelphia. But that was a Tony Dungy?s team not John Gruden. This TB defense is much better than in the past. They allow only12. Points per game this year, that?s better than the 1985 Bears defense. The Eagles are not going to have an easy time scoring. In games when Johnson has played this year, they averaged 24 PPG. TB has shut down the quicker quarterbacks such as Michael Vick. The Tampa secondary allowed Phil. Only 4 yards per pass play in the previous meeting. The Philly defense is very good also they sacked the QB?S 6 times in the last game they played. This should be a low scoring game and it could go either way. I do think Philadelphia will win and cover. It just won?t be as easy as some people think. This TB defense is an excellent defense. There have been 64 teams that have gone on the road in the championship game since 1970. On nine other occasions when a team has gone on the road with a defense that allowed fewer than 14 points per game (much like TB defense of this year) and faced a defense that allowed more points per game than the home team those nine teams went 6-2-1 against the spread. When the better defenses go on the road, they usually cover the spread. I hope this helps you.

Good Points Joe

Good Points Joe

In fact, I truly believe McNabb will have to run effectively (7-10 yards) to slow down the TB Blitz. Just like in the later game (Oak-Tenn), turnovers will be the keys to victory.
TB-Phil are very even in all areas, but Phil stills possesses the advantage in all areas. That is another reason I like the Under.

As far as the Tenn-Oak game, I see plenty of points scored out west. Key to that game is the fact that Tenn must start out strong.

GL everyone...been looking forward to this day all week.

best of luck today Caesar............ Philly is tough at home and in the cold confines of "the vet" the crowd will be unbelievable. I do think Gruden will try to make something happen early to change momentum or take the crowd out of the game. This eagle team has a nasty defense and probably the best secondary around. Brad Johnson not what I would call a mobile qb, (unlike McNabb) and I feel that Hugh Douglas and co. get after him with a complex blitz package.. Do feel that some points will be scored because of field position and Donavon McNabb.......Go Eagles!!!!;)

gruden

is highly overrated(in my opinion)......put him on a club with mediocre talent...then we`ll see what he`s got....he`s young, photogenic and makes great faces.....we`ll see if he`s got anything up his sleeve today....
