Eagles +3 (buy a half if you really have to)

Like others who've posted threads, I'm an Eagles fan too and they have had a year for the "bookies", not the books. High expectations in 2011 and again in 2012 and many of the players opened their yaps and haven't come through. The death of Andy's son has played with his mindsight as a father and head coach and the players have had their own player meetings and all the pundits on the tube said that Vick isnt' a leader, and Vick holds a team meeting and states the team will get better.

The team is in disarray and I don't think Reid will be back. Change is needed in this organization, however, this is Monday Night Football right?

The only reason I like the Eagles is in fact it's Monday Night, they are at home, and who wants to face humiliation on national TV (ESPN) in front of a lot of fans, most of them the betting public and there is still an outside shot they could end up near the top of the Division or even a wild card?

Boles needs protection, McCoy is out, but Brown has fresh legs and the receivers will run shorter routes to ease the effect of the bad pass blocking the Eagles have employed for the most part this year, but most of the sacks that the Eagles have given up have been the indecisiveness of Vick and the crappy offensive routes the receivers run. Most of the interceptions have been tipped or batted balls that the receivers couldn't handle, Celek one of the biggest culprits and Avant acts like he pulls a hammy each time he misses a pass or pulls up like the other receivers when they see the opponents helmet coming for them, instead of playing balls out.

Carolina I've seen play in person and on TV every game this year and they have had their moments and were expected to be great as well this year and contend for a wild card possibility, but the over paid and over hyped players they have (Newton included) have failed to deliver and back up their talk this year. The only players who have played well for the Panthers have been LaFlell when he's not dinged up and the young Defense lead by Keuchely.

I see this as being one of those games much like the Chiefs gave the Steelers a couple weeks back, this time the Eagles get the turnovers in their favor and pull out an upset! Did I say upset? OH GAWD, yeah I did!!

Eagles 23 Carolina 21
