Great matchups for first round of the post-season!! YES!!

Some trend plays and some stat plays here, but gut feeling is the bottom line!!

Texans -4 (Defense can win you a Super Bowl, also one of top RB's, top WR's and Seasoned QB vs 2nd Yr QB, Texans seek redemption here, and are 5-0 last 5 vs Cincy SU & ATS)

Over 46 Green Bay/Vikes (Outdoor game, weather may be a factor, will have to check it out more as the week goes by, last time in GB was a 9 pt win, AP can not beat the Packers by himself away - Defense should rise to the occasion for the Packers at home - special teams total difference in this tilt)

Colts +6 1/2 (Ravens are 0-8 last 8 vs Colts, but 5-1 in Wild Card games - they have not looked good the last 5 weeks at all - whether Ray Lewis plays or not - Rice has been dinged up - Colts young and hungry, Turnovers edge to Ravens - feel this comes down to a FG)

Redskins +3 1/2 (bought a 1/2) Skins? Who'da thunk they'd be where they are this year? Not me!! Not many!! Morris & RGIII lead the team in many categories, but HEART is the leading intangible here, even though they play another hot QB, Wilson and Sea-chickens "D" is tough and quick, gotta go with home dog in this one with the hook, I know "HOOKS" will like that!! Skins 21 Seahawks 20

I know Collin Cowherd is on Seattle, but listen to him this week about who he likes - he usually makes sense!!

GLTA on whatever you play this week!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Other info for those of you who may like Cincy +4 or more (Cincy has not won a road playoff game and factor in their road games this year, Eagles outplayed them other than Eagle turnovers, they lost horribly to Baltimore, beat sub 500 teams Miami, Chargers on the road, beat Pittsburgh by 3 and beat Washington early in the year before Wash got on a roll. Defensively Houston stronger than Cincy - QB edge to Schaub.

Houston wins 27-20

adding:

Green Bay -7 1/2 (split money on this game, public banging G Bay heavy, wizeguys the same but line fluctates from 1/2 pt above 8 to below 8 - it will be a late game outdoors Sat evening, wind chill and possibly wrap around wind from midwest front going through - would favor a running game, G Bay hasn't really had one other than the lil Harris kid running last wk and Cowherd is on this one too at -8- I just think Minny left all they had on the field at home last weekend and Green Bay at home has been tough - betting Rodgers has a great day and GB defense wakes up and gets some fumbles from AP with the cold weather and some sacks on Ponder as he targets one side of the field typically) Green Bay 31 Minnesota 17

I'm fading Cowherd still on the Bengallys - until Marvin Lewis wins a playoff game vs someone, I'm going against him. They beat the Steelers when Ben was fresh off the DL with the ribby injury and baby daddy syndrome, Houston at home will have crowd, defense and better running game in order here. Houston 28 Cincy 17

I smell a blowout in Green Bay tonight! Cold weather, wind chill, newby QB Webb behind the center in a must win situation vs Veterans on GB side of the ball, could be a 42-7 type game!! Line has jumped based on Christian Ponder out, almost a last minute decision, it was a game time decision as stated by ESPN Thurs & Fri on the radio/tv shows.

2-1 thus far, all home teams & favs have covered, 3 for 3, make it 4 for 4 on home teams covering, Dawgy gets its day in DC!!!

Just feel the running game for Skins and escapability of RGIII is too much for Seattle to shake off, even with their front seven, two smart coaches and emotion at home!! Skins "D" gets to Russell today!!

Later!!

Skins on 7 game win streak, Seahawks on 5 game win streak. Morris 200 rushing yds vs Dallas last wk - Seahawks rushing leader Lynch.

Game comes down to a FG!!
