Wildfire in Boulder

Bad wildfire has been burning just west of Boulder for over two days now... our house is about 5 miles south of the center, and luckily for us (but not our neighboring communities) the fire is moving north. Still 0% contained and they are saying it will take 10 days to contain. Lots of homes lost and people displaced, not to mention a beautiful landscape burned. It is raining lightly now, but weekend is calling for high winds, so praying that it does not jump into the more highly populated areas that it is threatening. Fire is a reality when you live in the mountains, but still sad to see areas where I have lived and others now call home burning out of control.

Stay safe and wishing you good luck. Have good friends in Coal Creek Canyon who are on their way to Florida to visit. Is the fire near there?

Cold - we live in Coal Creek canyon too, so the fire is north of us and we are not in any immediate danger. Here are a couple more pictures from locals this morning:
