Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
Was wandering thru sportsbook at Cannery Westside to watch Baylor cash and saw this prop at -250....

Figure Syracuse and Arizona will be number ones, Wichita St a 2? Duke? Kansas?
Big ten a toss up...

Any opinions?

Will be having lunch at LVH will check if they offer same.

I see Florida being the overall #1 seed. They have a pretty easy remaining schedule & even if Kentucky beats them the last game of the regular season or in the SEC tournament final, they would only have 3 losses to 32 wins.

Wichita State in my mind can lose a game, maybe even two, and they still will be on the 1 line.

I think Syracuse's luck is about to run out. After BC Wednesday, they have 3 tough road games: Duke, Maryland, and Virginia. At best, I think they go 1-2. And then, the ACC tournament. I feel they WILL NOT win it, so that will put them at 3 losses.

Kind of the same story for Arizona as it is for Syracuse. Remaining road games are: Utah, Colorado, Oregon State, and at Oregon. At best 3-1. Then, the Pac-10 tournament, which they won't win. That will leave them with AT LEAST 4 losses.

I honestly see Kansas & Duke both winning their regular season conferences & tournament titles. I think they will be the other 2 #1's, in addition to Florida & Wichita State.

Will a #1 seed win it all? I say NO. Too much parity in the above mentioned teams! Plus, throw in the likes of Michigan State, Louisville, Villanova, Cincinnati, San Diego State, even Creighton, Kentucky, and UConn & you have 64 teams vs. only 4 teams!! GL

It depends if Kansas gets a one seed or not. They and Florida are the clear cream of the crop in my eyes. Although a one-and-done tourney means one bad game could throw it off, when these two teams both bring it, no one else is in the same class.

The X-factor for me is Wichita State. They are awfully good and experienced. I honestly don't see anyone winning other than these three schools.

So if KU earns a #1 seed, that prop is an easy victory.

If Kansas, Duke and Michigan State are two seeds or higher, I like the play.
All 3 of these teams will be a tough out.

Florida, Wichita State, Zona, Cincy, Creighton , Syracuse are the possible 1 seeds.

I think it's going to take an experienced team, and most likely a team that's tournament hardened over the years to win it all, that has the ability to win 5 or 6 games in a row (whatever they play) against quality competition. That will probably leave out Kentucky, and maybe Kansas, because of their youth (no offense Hashish; I'm in the same boat); however, no team is really going to want to play either team. I definitely agree with the parity. Final 4 I'm guessing Duke, Louisville, Florida, maybe N Carolina if they keep up the good run, or any number of other teams. Can never count out Michigan St. Yet, I wouldn't be totally surprised if it ended up something like Creighton, Wichita St, San Diego St, and just throw one more in there. Should be great tournament.
