Okay, so the Suns fired the coach today. I haven't tracked the angle of head coaches being fired -- first game ATS of team, but I suspect this is a +EV play.

I've been horrified at the play of the Suns at timesm this season (a team that just doesn't seem to give a shit). But this might be a good spot, playing a West rival who has absolutely no defense.

Mavs looked really bad in the Clippers game -- and I still don't thin this team is as good as the top teams in the West (Sac and LAL in class by themselves).

I'm looking for feedback on playingte Suns hee, as a rejuvenated team against the porous Mavericks.

Thoughts?

You have one thing right for sure. The Mav's HAVE forgot about defence. Not much help am I. I wonder where would line have been for Sun's before coach leaving.

Nolan,

All I can say is that I was prepared to play the Mavs HUGE today, until I read about the firing of Skiles.

For some reason my gut tells me to not play this game. I don't have any confidence in Phoenix right now, but I may have to lay a little money on them to satisfy my curiosity.

Gentlemen---I can't see this helping the Suns tonight. These haven't been the best of times for the Suns, first Marbury got arrested on 2/8 and now their coach is history. I think it creates more chaos in their clubhouse and takes away from their focus on playing. Just my 2 cents. I was on Dallas before I heard about this and hope my thinking is correct to stay put on my play. Good luck!

I haven't tracked this trend either, but wish I had; I'm sure it would be a winning one over many different sports.

Given the Mavs road travails of late; their shonky D and the decent likelihood that the Suns may out rebound them tonite - added to the "new coach" theory and the lack of line movement at some books .... and I'm playing ;)
