Carter's brother faces drug charges
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (CP) ? The younger brother of Toronto Raptors star Vince Carter is facing drug charges in Florida.
Christopher Allen Carter, 24, was charged with possession of marijuana and cocaine Monday afternoon, Ormond Beach police Sgt. Kenny Hayes said Tuesday.
He was released on $1,500 US bail.
The cocaine charge is the more serious of the two, listed as a felony.
According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Christopher Carter has several drug-related felony convictions, including one for smuggling contraband into a detention facility, the Daytona Beach News-Journal reported.
Vince Carter was the leading vote-getter for the NBA all-star game for the fourth time.
The Raptors were in Philadelphia on Tuesday to play the 76ers
