Early spectulation has Lane Kiffin as the frontrunner, as well as Mizzous Pinkel, Mizzous offensive Cord Christiansen, Texas Def Cord Muschamp, Boises Peterson, and Seahawks Mora Jr. as the contenders. Im not sure how Willingham has regressed over the years from winning at Stanford, and recruiting NDames best team under Weis to a complete failure at Washington.

I know Pinkel has ties to Washington, but I can't see him leaving Missouri as the program has been very solid in recent years.

The rest of those guys make sense as contenders.

The fact that it took this long to make the decision is ridiculous. Ty's a nice guy, but his time at the U was a miserable failure. Can't say I'm sorry to see him go.

Don't understand what happened to him. No doubt the program is down the tubes with USC a 44 pt favorite this weekend.

As crazy as this sounds, 44 seems low to me. They were 42 point favorites on the road against Wazzu, and UW isn't much better than Wazzu. The fact that the game is at SC should result in a higher line IMO. May play SC 1h. They should be up 28-0 pretty quickly, then they will call off the dogs in the 2h like they did in Pullman.

he was a terrible recruiter at ND...main reason the squad has ben terrible and is finally starting an upswing. His poor recruiting was masked by some good position players like Quinn.

Know a kid who plays for him the team quit on him he pulled scholarships in mid season for no reason and eventually gave it back when team turning in jerseys to quit. He is a complete ahole and puts on a good show but not a nice guy team hates him and does not try for the prick
