New Orleans Bowl

SMiss -5

Win or lose this opener to the bowl games, it will be fun to watch Jamario on the field tonight. This will be the third game I've watched him in this year and I now make sure there are no beer runs to the fridg while NT has the ball. He can score anytime he gets the pigskin in his hands. Hard to bet against this stud but......

Finished my first college football season at MadJack's with a record of 107-85-4. Far from spectacular but a nice result to my babtism by fire. It's been a pleasure reading all the great posts, sharing info, supporting one another, and teaming up on the dreaded book!! Hope you all have a profitable Bowl Season and a great start to 2005. Make it your New Year's Resolution to put your man on welfare (but only after you collect your winnings :) )

12/21 Florida Citris Bowl

12/21 Florida Citris Bowl

Can't believe I'm wagering money on Coach P's team tonight. I vowed never to bet on this guy (and I do consider the coach a part of my capping criteria) again. But then you know how gamblers are. With these two mediocre teams facing each other, I'll take the points. And I do love doggies in the bowl games :)

Syr +5-
Opinion on over 43-

Hope this citris isn't of the lemon variety. GL to all :)

See if I can keep my head out of my arse long enough to pick some more winners. Had GTech circled the day the lines came out, liked them throughout, then changed to Syracuse at the last moment. DUHH!! And then seeing so many good cappers on the Yellow Jackets last night and I still didn't get the picture. Won't change on tonight's game, although I am very impressed with the Tigers. Wimprine and DeAngelo Williams are two studs that can get this expected track meet in their favor in a hurry. Just hoping that Jacobs returns the fire as successfully as he has throughout the year. You know this is going to be a high scoring contest, but I cannot even approach a total that high. Expecting to see a very entertaining battle tonight. Hoping that the Falcons soar to a point spread victory.

Bowling Green -4

We're on the same side tonight brother! Kinda worries me though cuz I'm seeing BG -3 @ Olympic.

I hate trying to play with line moves.

:) That's more like it. 3-0 on the Bowling Green game (also played BG +3 second half, posted in half-time thread) :)

Today's Fort Worth Bowl taking Cinn -1-. Hope Gino is well enough to handle the Marshall "d". Surely his absense can't be the sole reason the Bearcats were humiliated by Louisville, but he is the sparkplug to this team. I've lost enough money over his reign at QB the past four years to pass on this game, and him not being 100% still has me second guessing my decision. Adding a cushion of 7 points in a tease for more of a comfort zone. Come on Gino, JUST DO IT!!

Cin -1-
Cin+5-/UCLA-5/HAW+3- (1.0 units wins 1.5 units)

GL to all on your plays today. Lean to UCLA tonight :)

Taking Wyoming +7- (posted in half time thread) made up for putting UCLA in my teaser.

Bowl record td 3-1
Half times & teasers 3-2

Today's Hawaii Bowl taking the Warriors -3- in Timmy's farewell song. Tough for any visitors on the island to concentrate on football with all the outside distractions. Our Big10 boys couldn't handle it and I don't expect UAB to have any success either. And I do believe the refs will have a say in the outcome (ala the Spartans). Expect the Rainbows to get some calls in this fireworks display.

Also teasing Haw +3-/Minn Vikings +4

GL2A and have a Merry Christmas :)

In today's MPC Computers Bowl I am playing the Cavaliers over the Bulldogs. Will take an ACC team and their tougher schedule over the WAC in most circumstances, although Fresno really stepped up in non-conference games this year at Tenn and Okla. (and OreSt at home) Fresno has been on a terror and my confidence in Groh is not the highest. Also concerned about the spirits of Virginia playing in a lesser bowl game and the experience and familiarity of Bronco Stadium that the Bulldogs have. Nonetheless, with my free half point on Friday I'm backing Virginia @-4

The Motor City Bowl game will be played by the Rockets without Scooter McDougal. A big loss to Toledo's offense coupled with the throwing hand of Gradkowski. I am well aware of his pain tolerence and ability to persevere, but I still look at it this way. The mind is more than willing but will the physical capability be there. Broken bones in your throwing hand will limit the grip of the ball and certainly not be anywhere near 100%. See how the game plays out til halftime. One thing is for certain. Toledo is definitely a second half scoring machine. Til then I'm taing the Huskies with my free half point @+4

Virgina -4
Vir/Fres u51-
UConn+4

GL today guys. Should be a couple good games for us to enjoy today :)
