The tip of Chris Osgood's finger is broken but it's not the type of injury that is long-term according to the Wings....He hurt it last night against STL.....Looks like Hasek will be healthy enough to go against the Avs, and the Wings sent down Matt Hussey and Matt Ellis, so Lang and Draper are apparently ready to go.

Theodore back in net Sunday
Beleaguered goaltender has not started since late December



Jose Theodore will start in net for the Avalanche on Sunday at Joe Louis Arena. (Post file)Detroit - For the first time since Dec. 27, Jose Theodore will start a game for the Avalanche on Sunday.

The high-priced goalie will not face an easy task, as he will play against the high-scoring Detroit Red Wings at Joe Louis Arena, in front of a national TV audience.

Avalanche coach Joel Quenneville said at practice today that the team will give Theodore his first start since he allowed five goals on 22 shots in a 5-4 loss at home to Dallas. Peter Budaj has started every game since, but Budaj looked a bit shaky in Friday's 5-4 shootout loss to Phoenix.
