The sooner we establish term limits in both chambers the better off this country will be.
yeah, i used to think that, too. until i read an article on that, and it made a good point. new legislators, because they don't know what the fuck they're doing, are a LOT more susceptible to lobbyists. they rely on the lobbyists to educate them on, well, just about everything they're not familiar with.
maybe you're ok with the lobbyists having even more power though.
what we truly need is a citizenry that PAYS ATTENTION and will vote out ineffective/corrupt lawmakers. that's how our system is supposed to work. but as long as most people automatically vote for a D or an R, we will continue being fucked.
