ytd: 8-3 +7.05

Played these 3 based on situation:

Zona +15 x1 LSU has Aub on deck.
Air Force +19.5 x1 Vols sky high after whipping Cal. Fla on deck.
CMU +27 x1 Mich has ND on deck.

Considered Miss St as well, since Aub has LSU next week.

"I think we've felt disrespected and talked bad about since last season, as we expected," Ainge said. "We would expect nothing else after going 5-6 at the University of Tennessee. But as good as I think we are and can be, we all felt disrespected.

"This game wasn't just for Tennessee versus California. It was for the South versus the West Coast, the SEC versus the Pac-10, and we took that to heart. We were on the field pre-game, and they were screaming 'Pac-10.' We took that personally." Tenn QB Ainge following win Saturday

Vols left it all on the field Saturday and face Florida next week. AF returns their entire offensive backfield and have plenty of experience in the OL.

from Steele:
Vols 8-23 ATS L31 as a Home Fav.
AF 31-15 ATS L46 as dog

Adding:

AF +19.5 (-101) x1.5 (x2.5 all day)

Like them all. AF can score, and you are right, Tenn might be flat and play a vanilla gameplan in this one.

Also think the CMU line is very high, based on what I saw from them against BC and since Michigan has ND on tap.

Cie,

I'm already on Fl St tonight...with a small play on the ML +150. :SIB

The other three listed above for next week also look good to me based purely on situational analysis, but I will have to look a little deeper...and maybe luck up and get a higher number. I like to play my favs early in the week and play my doggies late.... It doesn't always work out, but for the most part, it has treated me well. Best of luck this week! :)

p.s. Take a long look at Cal this week.... Methinks that they beat Minny by DD. Joe Public will be down on them after the debacle in Knoxville and we should get a decent number. (I haven't even started looking yet, but seems like we're on the same thought pattern. Tenn number will be over-inflated this week and Cal line should be under-inflated. IMO) :SIB

SEC vs PAC 10

SEC vs PAC 10

Cie- sad to see you on Zona. I don't think we look by Arizona. LSU needs backups and fab frosh to get reps and Jamarcus really has some weapons. LSU covers this one. I love the Ainge comments, Pac-10 is the fraud squad, the entire conference is made up of imposters whose fans tailgate at starbucks. Football is just not a big deal in the pac -10 its fans are as excited about going to football games as I am about going to fill up my car at $3.30 a gallon.

Arizona was outplayed by BYU..IMO

Alot of calls went against BYU

Arizona managed only 253 yards against the stellar BYU defense which allowed 417 per game last year
Good enough for 91st in the nation

Arizona won 3 games last year Ore ST. UCLA and N. Arizona

LSU won at Vanderbilt last year 34-6 the game before Florida

LSU has a dominate and experienced offense and Arizona shouldnt be able to stop them.....
LSU put up 40 on Miami in Peach Bowl. The Hurricanes scored 3.

I like the Air Force play.. their ground game should chew up a lot of clock especially with the new clock rules to keep them within the number

Like the CMU play. In a post game interview Steve Breaston estimated they used 15% of the new playbook last week and they'll probably use a similar amount this week. I think the only way they cover this number is if CMU turns the ball over 4+ times and/or UM gets a kick return TD.

Like the plays with big games on deck, two that are very interesting. Side note while I was listening to ESPN radio on capper they had on (I believe Beano cook) said he like Zona. Just some info but I think zona is a tough team and Stoops will have his boys ready but in death valley LSU is very tough.

Cheers

LSU has a very talented squad top to bottom. Team speed is remarkable. If not for the well documented road schedule from hell, a Nat'l Title run would be possible IMO. Still, there are a couple of areas of concern:

The OL concerns me. They played horribly in the 1H vs UL-L. If the OL comes together, LSU will be difficult to slow down offensively with the massive depth at RB and WR giving the ever-improving Jamarcus Russel (15-2 as a starter) a variety of weapons.

LSU played a gimmick defense (3-3-5) vs UL-L. MLB Luke Sanders, DT Marlon Favorite were among those NEW starters who played very little. I feel this was a poor decision on the part of Pelini/Miles. After losing several starters from last season (2 DTs, 1 DE and 2LBs) , this front 7 needs to mesh. Why alter your basic scheme to play an inferior opponent when it means you must sit multiple key new players who you will count on all season long??

My guess is the D will be fine, especially with the poor showing by the Zona O in week 1.

As a fan, these things frustrate me, as a "handicapper"(and I use the term loosely) they provide an opportunity.

I expect low scoring affair...... LSU 24 Zona 13

Hey Wareagle--

Unfortunately, I will not be there next week. I am in Destin now, so I could turn north in Mobile on my way home ;) I have only been to Auburn twice, and both times before Nick Saban re-energized the LSU program.
