Phil --

Let me throw one out for today.

Seattle +4.5

Seattle and Utah have been major rivals since SEA joined the league in 2000. The rivalry started in that first year when 5'8" SEA coach Lin Dunn was quoted as saying: "If (Utah Center) Dydek can get open, I can get open."

Dydek responded that year by averaging 16.6 ppg and 8.3 rpg in their 3 match-ups.

They've played a total of seven games, four of those have been decided by 3 points or less.

UT just beat SEA last Sunday in Seattle 71-68.

So what's different this time around?

That game was the first game back for 6'5" all-world forward/center Lauren Jackson who had an ankle injury. As expected in a first game back, Jackson didn't play that well, going 5-14 in 26 minutes of play. Since last Sunday, Jackson seems to have improved with each game and she shot 10-16 from the field last night at Phoenix.

Also Sue Bird didn't shoot that well in that first game: 3-9 from the field for 7 points, well below her season average of 16.6 ppg.

Since then rookie guard Felicia Ragland has emerged as a force; she scored 19 last night at Phoenix but played only 4 minutes in last Sunday's game. Ragland is a good complement to guard Semeka Randall who scored 21 against the Starzz last Sunday.

In the first game, Dydek scored at will; scoring 22 points and getting 14 rebounds and 5 blocks. After the game, Dydek was quoted as calling Lauren Jackson a "dirty player" which should serve to motivate Jackson tonight.

After their last game I'm sure SEA has devised a defense capable of stopping Dydek. And while UT isn't a one-woman team, SEA has a lot more depth and many more weapons. In their first game, the five UT starters all played 35+ minutes, no one off the bench got more than 8 minutes.

Utah is 1-3 ATS at home, SEA is 2-0 ATS on the road.

Orlando a good play with several MIA players out due to that car accident and just the first game back for Riley.

You might also want to look into HOU/MN Under, still at 126.5 at SIA.

Good luck tonight.

LA/SAC opened at Oly at LA -7.5 and 144. I think their final line was 7.5 and 146. The side went to -8.5 at Oly but then some steam in the final minute took it back down to -7.5. Final line on the side at SIA was 9.

In terms of the first half, the Total was 69, I'd assume the side was LA -4 or something like that.

The overnight line on LA this morning at New Age Bets was 6.5/139.5.

Tom --

I made SEA my best bet at the other place.

HOU #1 D but can't score. Last in the league in ppg. HOU lost last game, will want this game.

HOU 10-0 vs MN, 3-0 last year and 5-0 at home.

MN #3 D, trouble hitting 60 against teams with much lesser Ds.

I've capped the game at 115.

Hope you played all of those college bases teams.

One more thought: Overs have been hitting in WNBA, this is the time of the season when D starts to catch up.

Kind of like in bases where pitchers come out faster than batters (or is it the other way around?).

Let me say on the above post that 3 out of 4 have hit. the other one is still in progress.

think the D is coming out esp. in bases today! however, like the OVER 7.5 in the Dbacks game. Bases been ok for you SB?

Tom -

Rice needs some mojo.

I was hoping that the one ball hit to the track in the 6th would have gone out.

I hope they can get at least one run.

In bases, I'm a career 50% guy. That's why I play WNBA and other secondary sports. Hoops is my thing; I don't play football and don't do particularly well in bases. Fortunately with WNBA, hoops is a year-round sport these days.

Rice blew my four-teamer and I'm really pissed.

WTF is wrong with SEA, they're shooting like 30% and making Dydek look like Shaq.

But somehow they're still within 8 and Goodson now has 4 personals.

We got the easy Under on HOU/MN, now we need a little mojo for SEA.

I think Teddy would like WNBA.

THANKS FOR THE UNDER JON!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope Seattle comes back for you!!! Damn Rice!! Had them at the last minute for only 2 units. Would have loved to go 4-0 for + 17 units. Oh well. still + so far.

Yes, Teddy would love WNBA!! ;)

As stated above, UT only has five guys that play most of their minutes.

Three of the five are in foul trouble: Dydek and Azzi have 3 each and Goodson has 4.

Maybe they'll will let SEA get the backdoor.
