anyone see the duke uconn game yesterday.amazing comeback to break unbelievable home court record. uconn had not lost in the arena since late 1980s.if you haven't seen womens bball you are in for a treat.these girls are pretty good and it is refreshing to see teamwork and good fundamentals.

I got my Masters at Uconn and these nags would always try to step in and play..

A bunch of half drunk grad students should not have there way with " athletes" and believe me we did...
As for fundementals... poor shooting, No rebounding, no jumping ability, and a ball the size of a ball bearing is fundemental to you.. so be it...

1st off I am a Hokie Fan, but I went to college back east.
Finance was the concentration so I apologize for the grammer..
2nd off, I am down with them having there own game but come on.. A good high school team would run ANY womens team out of the gym. Its not a sexist thing, Its just the truth. Go ahead and ask any player and they will tell you the same.
3rd off, I think the PC thing is to coddle this idea that the game is the same as the mens. Its Not. And can ESPN please stop forcing these ads down my throat. No one outside of Storrs and Knoxville give a hoot about this sport.
4th off, Kind of playing off the 3rd but do you realize that nary a womens program turns a profit? HHHmmmm, that would make me think that there is no interest in this (see ABL, see Womens Pro Soccer League and soon the WNBA once the NBA is no longer propping it up) Check the Nielsons on any womens game... if you can find them.
5th off, From the days of the ancient Greeks, Sports are supposed to be played at the pinnacle of excellence. This is what the public wants to see and admire. Womens basketball is just not the pinnacle of excellence. 25 turnovers, playing below the rim, 30% shooting, Its just not. Are women athletes? Absolutley.
I have been around many finely toned runners, skaters, gymnasts in my day. My point is that its just not good basketball.
6th point, I will let the inbreeding comment go in hopes it was tongue in cheek, but even fathoming a Uconn women vs. Hokie Mens team game is Ludicris. It wouldnt be within 40 points..
