Remides me of Ex-Minnesota coach Dan Monson leaving Gonzaga for the greener grass of the Big 10............I think Mark Few has done pretty well last I checked........

I know they get more $$$$ but Boise State , win or lose tonight........looks like a very solid program......

I think if he use the tools to build CU that he used to build Boise St. that he will be very successful in Boulder.

He just needs a little time and I think recruits will recognize how good Boise is and realize how good CU could be

Hawkins was left a bag of shit with the CU program, like dead prez said he should rebuild and have a very solid program in CU.

They had much improvement at the end of the season

Better facilities, more of an ability to recruit, more national exposure, and I'm sure a much bigger paycheck.

Just a case of Hawkins taking a step back so to speak before he can take a giant step forward.

honolulu, Hi, USA
Don't get me wrong - I certainly hope Hawkins succeeds at Colorado. But did you know that Chris Peterson was Hawkin's Offensive Coordinator and right hand man @ Boise State? There are many in Boise that said Peterson was the brains behind Boise's success all these year. Peterson has now proven his worth whereas Hawkins did not have a good year @ Colorado. I realize the situation he stepped in wasn't the greatest and hopefully the next 2-3 years will also justify the coaching abilities of Hawkins. Only time will tell.

Peterson is probably the best offensive minded coach in the country. He was the brains behind Boise States offensve for all of hawkins years there. Hawk is a good coach though and had a horrible team when he got there. My friend coaches at CU with Hawk and played for Boise state and said their players weren't as good as Boise States this year from teh beginning and that Hawk has some big recuits coming in this year. They are suppose to be in the top 20 in recruiting this year. Bryan Harsin the Offensive coordinater at Boise State was offered the OC :SIB Job and Alabama and he turned it down to stay at Boise State. It was Sabens first recruit for his new coaching staff.
