Sam Holbrook, home plate dish tonight, 11 overs 16 unders, 8.1 runs per game.

You have two pretty smart pitchers, Hendricks from Dartmouth, one of best control pitchers in baseball, calm, cool and collective, with a young team and stellar closer in Chapman, plus added depth in the pen with Lester and whomever else has the balls to want to pitch tonight for the Cubbies. Hendricks lost game 3 at home, 1 to zip facing a well rested Tomlin, who got his tits lit last night and no matter how much anybody feels about West behind the dish, he's always consistent and he'll squeeze hitters as much as he'll squeeze pitchers, but that's over now.

Holbrook is a different cat who has a big strike zone, more wide then tall when it comes to high strikes, which may aid both pitches because they mainly pitch down, Klubey dubey doo has a hard power slider and likes to pitch up out of the zone on a pitchers count. Young Cubs hitters now will get their 3rd look at him and he's off 3 days rest only, Kluber's starts with less than 4 days rest are not pretty.

Kluber won his 2 previous starts in game 1 and game 4, 6-zip and 7-2 vs a bad Lackey in John Lackey.

Tonight Kluber is a home dog? Is anyone surprised by this? WHY? Don't you think the Cubs young hitters made adjustments last night vs Tomlin even though Tomlin wasn't fully rested as normal? He had nothing on his backup breaking ball and he hung his change up often, so his timing was off, you don't think that will happen with Kluber tonight? He is a big strong donkey and he is human after all, but 3rd times the charm, 3 x Revenge factor in MLB in a season does not favor any pitcher, especially right handed pitchers, whether at home or on the road. The adrenaline will be flowing for Klubes early for sure, the Cubs know he'll be around the dish, so they will be aggressive on his fastball, Schwarber got good looks last night as he did in game 1 vs Kluber, he'll be one of the difference tonight along with the leadoff man and free-agent disappointment, Jason Heyward who made a stellar throw from RF to nail Perez on a would be double.

Cubs are a slight public favorite, opened -110 and is steady now at -120 with 54% on the run line and 50% on the money line and 64% on the under which is now at 6 1/2 at most houses.

First 4-5 innings will dictate this game as it did last night and in games 1-5 before last night!! If Kluber is on with his breaking ball and the young Cubs chase him, he'll be good to go, but how did the young Cubs hitters adjust last night and in game 5? I think they did pretty well, even hack happy Joan, errrr, Javier Baez did as well.

My skin in the game was the Cubs to win it all at +140 when playoffs started and I'm sticking with them here.

1st 5 innings is 3 1/2 and -110 to -130 depending on which off-shore house you look at with a line at 7 or 6 1/2? Ok.

54% of the public at Covers are on the Tribe. Yet the line keeps going up? :142smilie

Home team is 16-5 L21 games with Holbrook behind the dish. Over is 41-15-3 with him behind the dish.

Cubs are just 1-5 with Holbrook behind the dish. Hometeam is just 13-17 with Holbrook behind the plate this season. Home dog of even to +120, are 1-5.

Enough said!!

hey WB...

I would love nothing more than seeing the Cubs win tonight...But Tomlin vs Kluber is no comparison.
Kluber has gas 95 Tomlin was lucky to see 90 mostly 88. What a tall order for the Cubs to win a game 7 on the road. The fact that everyone is on the Cubs is scary IMO. Tonights game reminds me of GS/CLE NBA in June. Just got a bad feeling Cleveland wins tonight...Hendricks at home (YES) on the road just not as confident. Miller, Shaw and Allen are completely rested. One indicator I follow I would like to share with you. Can I contact you somehow ?

Thanks "T".

U r correct. Kluber can throw 95 mph gas. How about on 3 days rest? 3 x vs Cubs in a series? Only Bumgarner had done that and he did it in relief vs KC a couple years back. Tomlin is no Kluber, but we have to remember, pro hitters are there because they make adjustments.

After the 2nd inning we should know what is going to transpire tonight.

Thanks for sharing!!

This series was great not only for baseball but for our country in my opinion and whoever wins will make history.

And we'll be seeing these two teams a lot in the next few years as young as they are and as star studded they are as well.

GL!
