Hey all, I'm done capping MLB for the year however I have played last 2 days in POD thread going 2-0, Astros on Tues and Under 5 1/2 Last night.

I have a pending bet on the Cubs @ 50-1 earlier in the year, January to be exact. They are currently 4-1 to win the WS.

I think they matchup with any NL team and also any AL team bullpen wise (Strop & Rondon), speed wise, Austin Jackson, Dexter Fowler, Addison Russell, hitting/power wise, Rizzo/Bryant/Schwarber with any lineup out there. We have to remember how young the Cubs are as well and they have a veteran playoff and WS experienced Manager in Joe Madden.

I believe the Cubs can beat STL, STL w/Yaddy banged up, Holliday iffy, Grichuck still gimpy with bad throwing shoulder, Moss can't hit a lick and their bullpen is ok with Siegrist & Rosey, but C Mart out of rotation, add back Waino w/Lackey, Garcia, they really aren't that formidable.

Head to head and how teams have done down the stretch will determine who gets their from this point forward as it did when the Giants won last year as a WC team playing a WC team that had to beat Oakland to get into the post-season with a come back win in the Royals.

Jays have some experience, very little WS experience, Price has in the bullpen when w/the Ray but that is all the WS experience they have had and their manager to be honest I believe still sucks in Gibbons. The pen for the Jays is young, closer is ok, but he's pitched his max innings and should start to wain down.

Dodgers I don't believe will go very far even with their pitching, their offensive lineup is simply offensive, Puig is back but not 100% and the book is out on him, A Gon will be pitched around, and that is about it, their bullpen is ok with Jansen closing but they have to score some runs in order to beat the Cubs or Cards.

I didn't forget the Mets but they are a mess. Offensively Mets can present a challenge to their opposition with no problem but their pitching staff is young, no WS vets other than Colon who pitched for Cleveland in his only Post Season experience in the WS some years ago vs the Marlins. Wright is back, Grandy is ok but this is the time of year he typically fades, Cespedes has not been in a WS yet and he's hitting better but getting dinged up it seems almost every time out and the rest of the lineup is a wild card to be honest. deGrom, Harvey, Syndergaard, have no playoff experience, Harvey can't make it to a mandatory meeting on time? Talk about your primadona!! Including their closer, there is no post-season experience in the bullpen which will nix their shot at moving on past the Dodgers, they are out with no wins vs LA quickly.

Cubs should take STL in 6 games if not less.

Texas has some experience but a big challenge v Jays and I think they can beat Jays based on pitching experience alone. Offensively Jays have a better power lineup, Rangers have better speed and clutch hits of late. KC I don't see beating Texas or Jays if they can get through the Astros first.

The Astros w/basically no playoff experience, I believe Carter is one of the only players with any experience when he was a member of the A's. Astros will not get to the WS with their bullpen, starting pitching Keuchel is their best, McHugh is getting bye, Kazmir does not pitch well this time of year but really hasn't been stretched out this far in his career and McCullers also the most innings in his young career.

So for me it's the Cubs & Rangers or Jays in the WS!

Cubs @ 4-1
Texas @ 10-1
Jays @ 3-1

Cubs are 5.8-1 to win WS right now at 5D.

Tor 3.3
LAD 4.1
ChC 5.8
KC 6.1
STL 6.35
Hou 8.1
NYM 10.25
Tex 14.25

You would be nuts not to be round by round hedging that Cubs 50-1 ticket. This is baseball. Anyone can beat anyone. Every single one of these teams as well as every team in MLB could win this tournament if placed in it.
