I work for a major telecom company as a supevisor for a groub of systems analysts. One of our biggest fears is that a problem will occur that keeps people from being able to dial 911 in a certain area. Unfortunately at 415 this morning their was a fiber cut in one of our biggest markets. over 100 thousand people were unable to dial 911 in an emergency. The other superviser was on call however for some reason he didn't answer his page. I got a call from my boss who had about 12 other people conferenced in on the call. I had no choice. The other guy who did not answer has been suspended without pay for a week. I can't afford to do that to my family can you?
