Somewhere in Corn Country
1) any so-called "beer" brewed by A-B or any of the other mass marketed global "beer" makers such as SAB-Miller

2) Eddelweiss--can't think of the brewer of this swill, but it is one nasty concoction for sure.

3) Rheinlander

and a special mention to one we used to call red, white and welfare. Think it was a mass produced low cost offering from one of the major brewers but can't recall. Its real name was red, white and blue--sold for 99 cents a 6 pk --this was the early 80s--still overpriced, IMO

He has to have meant Blatz.

Dude, true story. I was a sophomore in HS when several of my classmates at the Catholic HS I attended had the opportunity to go on a ten day canoeing trip in the Boundary waters up into Canada at Quetico(sp?) Provincial Park.

The base camp and outfitter was owned by my Biology teacher. We decided that between myself, Durwood, Smitty, Killer, Degs and C2, a shitload of pot, beans and lsd, we would be golden. We boarded the bus for the I don't remember how long of a drive from he South Side of Chicago to what I remember to be Ely, Minnesota. Anyway, after about an hour on the bus, we got bored and started hitting the smokeless pipe, which did nothing for the exhalation?!?! After another seven hours or so we stopped at a McDonalds in Wisconsin where the drinking age was 18. Nobody really checks my ID and we get three cases of beer. One Carlings Black label and another of Blatz and yet another of Hamms!!! Each of us got a twelve pack of assorted hell to chug while we downed our 2 Big Macs each with fires. Problem was, we were all so nervous buying the beer, we never even went to the cooler. All the beer was warm as hell.
I don't think I need to expand any further, although we did get in trouble later in the trip for using the canoe for a downhill street luge. Boys will be boys.

On the list

Schlitz
Hamm's
Old Style
Schmidt's
Leinie's
Blatz
Black Label
The Beast
Stroh's
Lone Star
Point
BEER (Generic brand)
Olde English 800
Pabst (not Blue Ribbon)

They all suck

Coors Light AINEC. Tastes like a regular Coors cut in half with water.

Old Milwaukee. Sorry to all those who like to get smashed on the cheap, this stuff isn't drinkable.

I.C. Light. Not sure if this is available outside of Pittsburgh, not sure why it would be. Terrible times two.

Blast or Blatz? Blatz was/is a truly horrible brew.

Ya reds, Blatz. I do not know what i was thinking.

How could I forget that name. About 25 years ago my next door would come over to my house and go for the refrigerator and pull out my good beer and just help himself. Well one hot July day he yells over at me to come over and have a beer with him. Well, the SOB pulls out a warm Blatz that he had in the hot garage and gives it to me with a glass of ice.

Have you ever had Cold Spring? Tastes like you are drinking aluminum. Used to buy it for 79 cents a six pack in my old college days.
