I have never seen a worse hose job than that. Not one of those three officials should be allowed to officiate a game ever again in their lives on any level. That phantom foul call on the Napier 3 was quite possibly the worst call in the history of basketball. Really hard to see a talented team get shit on all over by the officials.

Payne shot two free throws at the very end of the game. I wonder how many times he got fouled in the paint. 50?

22 to 8 FT discrepancy. If that wasn't a fixed game, it was the biggest show of ineptitude ever by the officials.

Hash you know it so does every other bettor. It just takes a realist to be able to ADMIT the truth.
But you bet your ass if MSU won they every UCONN bettor would be crying...

When one team shoots 22 fts and another team 8 on a "neutral" court it makes you wonder.......The game was close and did not end in a foul fest

The fact is MSU played horrible down the stretch. There was that foul called against Napier when he was the one that got clocked. I guess Uconn could have responded by letting up and deciding it wasn't their day. Instead they manned up and dominated the rest of the game, with or without benefit of refs. Spartans laid

On the course!
Every single game has been a shitty officiating job. These kids walk with the ball more than the NBA guys do, for starters.

78 points per game playing in the WWE, otherwise known as the Big Ten. No, MSU can't score at all. What an asinine comment.

I'd say roughly half of those turnovers were on fouls that weren't called.

Refs gave UConn the game. The real bottom line.

I wonder what percentage of games feature a team that scores over a third of their points at the line?

Christ sake, they sucked. Refs didn't do that, they did. They just simply sucked down the stretch. Sometimes that all there is to it.

Bein a ref is a tough job.....so tough.....

We all argue over calls that we get to watch on a 50" HD television, in slow motion that are repeated numerous times...

If we cannot come to an agreement of what we watched in regards to a play being a foul or no call, under those circumstances, how can an official be expected to be correct everytime when he is watching it live with tons of comotion around him....

I'm not sayin refs don't suck sometimes, I am just saying that this is sports.....sometimes calls go your way...sometimes they don't....losers sigh and complain about bad officiating that cost a game.....winners snatch victory despite of bad calls and tell the refs to fuck off...

Today uconn basketball was nothing short of great....they deserved to win

If mich st wanted to win more then uconn, they would've told the refs fuck off......

I don't like excuses I guess....

refs?

refs?

I watched almost every game and what I took out of it was 3 teams they did not want to be in the final 4. the 3 games that were so obviously officiated bad on purpose were the Kentucky/wich state game, the Arizona/wisc game and the UConn/iowa state game. Only Wisconsin was a good enough team to overcome the poor job the refs did on those teams.

:mj07: Some of you are really clueless. If you don't think that the officials helped UCON and Kentucky make the Final Four, then you are either blind or stupid. That isn't to say that both teams didn't make big shots when they needed to, but the officials helped them be in position to take those shots. Without their help, both teams would have been done several games over in this tournament. The officiating was laughable as hell, but not as laughable as some of you clowns.

Smurphy, Addict, edludes

yyz, you are spot on about the traveling getting just as bad as the NBA.

I hate the way these games are being officiated now with the "new" rules. Very hard to play defense - pretty much impossible to play good position defense and draw a charge anymore, as it is always a foul on the defense - no matter what. I think good defense should be rewarded also.

It was so obvious watching Julius Randle and Kentucky yesterday. Randle would just put his head and shoulder down and ram over people on the way to the rim - and not have to worry about a charge ever being called - even when the defender was there light years before he got there - it was a block.

I think the result of this is a much more physical game as guys just fly to the rim, whether there is someone in front of them or not. Seems like the college game is physical enough. Good position defense should be rewarded, not penalized. It wasn't just the Kentucky game - I saw other ones where the defender was in position and just got mowed over and the call went against him.

Just my opinion - but I don't like "no charges anymore" rule.
