Hi gang, I am going to our local track here in Vancouver tomorrow am for the simulcast program and the tracks that are running are Philadelphia and Hawthorne which I am not familiar with. Would anybody have any suggestions as to any biases or tips on what to sort of look for. Would appreciate any info you might suggest.

Thanx , Skanoochies.

I can help you out with Hawthorne. Hawthorne is notorious for being biased. This past weekend there was a huge rail and speed bias that horses in the 2 path couldn't overcome. But as the weather gets colder and they put chemicals into the track to keep it from freezing, the track gets very outside and closer-friendly. We had some rain in the Chicago area today and Haw doesn't drain very well so I'd expect an off track. Sloppy tends to favor speed but as it dries out, anything can happen. Trainer Mike Reavis won 5 races on Saturday so his horses are very live right now.

Thank you Valuist, any little clue is a help. I`ll probably be conservative anyway but just have to scratch that little gambling itch on my day off. Appreciate your input, have a good day.
