I certainly would agree with that call...went from 9.5 this morning to 7 in an hour or so. All the while, bettors were hitting WVU at almost 70%. Doesnt make sense. In fact it quickly jumped back to 7.5 an hour or so later, which tells me there was some event that went down to cause the 2 point movement by the books.
Usually line movements are to get equal action on both sides. Moving the line to 7 couldnt POSSIBLY hope to get action on the USF side, could it? I think this could be a trap set by the books too. Last week in the USF/UCONN game there was movement towards UCONN at the last minute and UCONN ended up winning as USF didnt show up. Maybe books moved the line to "make you think" theres a reason to bet USF. Anyone think that actually works as a tactic to get bettors on the other side?? Hell, I was sold on WVU but this movement stopped me DEAD in my tracks. Maybe its just a ploy to get people to lay off WVU...who knows??
