The Phillies are coming off a 2 game spilt squad day outing in which they won both games yesterday using up much of their pitching staff. Today they are starting Ryan Franklin who was aquired from the Seattle Mariners in the off-season, Franklin violated the leagues substance abuse policy last season as he tested positive for anabolic steriods.

The Cardinals will start Jason Marquis for the third time this spring after the team had their only day off yesterday since beginning play in the Grapefruit League.
