NEW YORK YANKEES -135 ? The Yanks marked Giambi?s return to Oakland with a well-pitched 2-1 victory last night. Tonight they send the red-hot Wells to the hill, who has enjoyed his return to the Bronx. Wells is 3-0 with a 3.45 ERA so far, and has allowed only 23 hits in 28.2 innings. The last time he faced the A?s, he allowed just 1 run and 5 hits in 9 innings while with the White Sox last season in a 10-inning 2-1 Sox win. Hiljus has had his moments, but he was not sharp in his only start against the Yankees, allowing 7 hits in 4.1 innings in an 8-6 Oakland win.
