Ok guys seeing as there is only one game tonight, let's work as a team & come together to take the mans money!!! All opinions reasons angles etc. are welcome!! Only 2 weeks of bases remaining let's do some damage and make some extra money!!!
Several insights have already been made regarding this game, myself I like the under 7.5 Mussina although starting the year somewhat shaky has clearly settled in now earning the money he got in that monster contract. He has only allowed 1 earned run in his last 22 innings of work. He is a big game pitcher with excellent control, he well not be putting people on base. Garcia has shown in his 2 post season appearances his regular season 18-5 record was no fluke. He has shown excellent command & control in both starts especially his last in Cleveland. He is going on 3 days rested, but only accumulated 82 pitches last start. Excellent defense & 2 pitchers who well not put extra people on base in my opinion keep this game under 7.5
originally I was leaning towards Seattle here, thinking this is a must game & they could not afford to drop 2 games at home. But I feel Fletcher & others are correct. Yankees are now clearly on a mission, this team has come together in incredible fashion. They are definitely looking to make a statement to the Mariners & baseball regarding Seattle 116 wins this season. Jeter even mentioned it in a press conference recently. Mussina somehow overcame Zito & the Oakland Club in that classic game 3 last week. Can Garcia pitch better than Zito??? I don't think so!!
My play under 3 units, Yankees 2 units.
