i heard thomas friedman on the imus show this morning & he said something that i thought was interesting.
he did a google search using the words........
arafat & education.
friedman wanted to see if arafat ever gave a speech talking about how having an education would be beneficial to the palestinian people.
and obviously he didn't find anything.
and i'm sure that if he did another search using the words.......arafat & jobs he would get the same results.
this thug did nothing to help his people.
he didn't create jobs or push education.
he didn't build housing or create anything positive to benefit his people.
all he did, as other arab leaders have done, is hold their people from advancing in life & the leaders taking all of the money for themselves.
there have been many countries who gave the palestinian people billions of dollars over the years.
where did that money go ?
it's funny that the new leaders & arafat's wife are battling over control of what is said to be billions of dollars.
how come he had billions of $$ & his people are poor ?
wll i'm sure that arafat wasn't the only one stealing from his people.
the other leaders of arab countries are billionaires also & many of their people are living in poverty.
these leaders blame the u. s. for all of their problems.
and the arab people have bought this.
it's pretty sickening, imo.
and another thing that i find sickening is that the u.n. are flying their flags at half mast.
another reason why the u.n. should be torn down & a parking lot shold be put up instead.
