ND had a number of squeakers against bad teams this year.

They clearly didn't belong in this game. they had no business being ranked #1 obviously.

The BCS rankings need to put much more emphasis on strength of schedule, and less on a pretty record, compiled against a weak schedule.

It is doubtful that ND would have won more than 7 games against an SEC schedule.

At home Notre Dame squeaked by Purdue,BYU and Pitt all by 3 points. They played 9 teams that went to bowl but 7 of them lost. It was farce they ever got into this game.

They barely beat Pitt...Pitt got blown out by Mississippi.

Mississippi doesn't scare anyone in the SEC except for Mississippi State and Auburn.

We can all do the math. There is no doubt that S Carolina, A&M and Georgia would blow out ND.

Florida and LSU would beat them in what could be closer games.

Vandy would probably beat them too.
