Yet a nudder COMP QUESTION !!!

Ok all is well with my kids comp. Well NOT all.
2 wires came unpluged. Both are identical w/ 4 hole female connector and are gray in color and slim w/ red white and black wires coneected to the connectors.

One comes from my CD drive the other from my DVD drive.


Neither Drives show up when I click My Computer.


The question of the day is..............

"Where the hell do they plug in at ???"

I don't believe those 2 cables are my problem.

Those 2 cables are not your problem. The only reason you'd want those audio cables hooked up is if you want to hear sound. All i can say is make sure the IDE cable is hooked up, as well as the power supply. Sounds trivial, but sometimes is in fact overlooked. Also, make sure the proper master is set (with the fuse) and slave. HD should be master, and cd drives should be slaves.

Anyways I'm back in business.

I went a unplugged the IDE Cable completely from all three ends and plugged 'em back in.
