Yet another reason CRIS is the best

I have talked before about the early lines and fast payouts, but Olympic has those as well. What separates CRIS in my opinion is the lower juice they charge. 20 cents instead of 30 cents on MLB season totals, -225/+195 instead of -225/+185 on higher prices moneylines, etc.

It is true that Oly gives you one free Neteller payout every two weeks and chargers only $25 for check withdrawls. Considering that CRIS has some of the highest payout fees offshore ($30 per Neteller over $500, $40 per check) I can understand why some smaller players stay away. I feel with their loyalty bonuses, if you are a $100+ player it makes up for it.

When people who are new to Mad Jack's ask about offshore books I always go out of my way to recommend CRIS and Olympic for their early lines. I just feel there is such value in being able to get down before some lines are sharpened the next day. (Word is WWTS will start releasing lines earlier and of course Pinnacle has early lines, but in my opinion Pinnacle is too hard to beat consistently.) If you are looking for an early book it is quite simple. For prop players Olympic has to be the choice because they offer so many different bets. For players who place more traditional wagers, I'd say you have to rank CRIS number one.

In the interest of full disclosure I have to say that both Olympic and CRIS have 20 cent baseball lines on sides (-130/+110 instead of -120/+110), which does cut down on their value at times. Still, if you haven't give CRIS a try I recommend posting up there the next time you are looking for a book.

These posts remind me of Howard Stein's advertising. You know, how he tries to act like he actually uses the product and thinks it's that great. When in reality there are people working the puppet strings behind the scenes. ;)

As usual, you are a dipshit, saint. I only endorse a book if I use it and I like it. It is true that I tend to keep my endorsements to MJ sponsors, but I have also posted many positive things about SIA and Oasis in the recent past. I also post negative things from time to time about books that warrant it.

You are right that Howard Stern's advertising is bullshit, but I don't get a dime from these books, this site, Jack or anyone else for posting what I post. I have gotten paid in the past to do reviews of sportsbooks back when Jack offered cash for posters to do reviews (this was in late 2000).

I can see why you'd think that posts like this aren't on the up and up (1. they are similar to paid promos on other gambling sites, 2. you're a moron) but this is a legitimate, unbiased endorsement.

Nick, I asked for advice the other day on a sportbook with a dime line in baseball and you were one of the people to respond. I do appreciate it. Still trying to decide which two or three books to use. I am already a member of Olympic and joined Parlaybook the other day. I asked several questions before joining Parlaybook, but forgot a very important one, when do your lines come out. The book seems to be fine with one major exception. Saturday night I went to pull their lines, none were available. Still no lines early sunday morning. I called and was informed they release their lines at 11am eastern daily. BC/Syracuse started at 12pm and Cleveland/NY at 1 pm. Frankly, I was amazed. Surely they must realize in this day and age the business they must be losing to books with over night lines. I have nothing but good things to say about them so far in all other areas, but that is a hard one to get past. Anyway, thanks again and GOOD LUCK TO YOU...

Then why isn't this post in the proper forum, namely the one entitled "Offshore Sportsbooks"?? It's either because you are egotistical and want the maximum number of people to view your threads, or you have another agenda. Why not just have a post entitled "My favorite sportsbooks" and list them, instead of a title like the one you have for this post where it just screams advertising.

You are right that this isn't in the proper forum. It is here because I wanted more people to view it. Call it ego if you want, but my reason is that I have played at about 30 offshore books, including 15 current Mad Jack's sponsors, so I feel that people who are relatively new to online betting (which is a good portion of folks who visit this site) would find some use in an experienced person noting positive things about sportsbooks. It is easy to find negative things about sportsbooks because those are posted all the time, so I try to balance things out a bit by posting when I notice good things.

Find something better to do with your time. :nono:

My problem with it is that sometimes I feel like there is preferential advertising and a double standard at MJs.

If you posted it for sheer information as you said, then I apologize Nick. I was wrong to assume it was advertising and should have asked instead of making assumptions.

I'm not a "sports-book guru"

but I'm pretty sure Oly dropped their lines in bases to a dime towards the end of the season last year. (I could be wrong)

you are correct. they did use a dimeline for the mlb playoffs. i will give them credit for that. but they lost my business during the 162 game MLB regular season.

Why one?

Why one?

I don't know, maybe you US guys are somehow limited to having only one 'off-shore' account, but this whole thing makes no sense to me.
What's wrong with having a number of different accounts open?
I personally use about 10 (with access to 5-6 more)....that way you always get the best line/price available.

Again, maybe I'm missing something

I don't care how good the books are, I am not betting 20 or 30 cent lines.

I recommend Pinnacle and Wsex and both of these books are strong and pay quickly. Made a lot of money from wsex last year.;)

u just mentioned the best 2 books on the net bro... "BAR NONE" i dont know why so many people get so microscoptic on inching the juice so much..its simple, what i do is >>i use 3 books online and 1 local, find the best line i can get and go for it...simple...... i block juice out of my mind because juice means losing...;)

AR182,

CRIS has the earliest openers in the biz, period. You will get NFL lines as early or earlier than any other book. I am not sure how many points you can buy but I am sure you can buy more at 5 Dimes or Olympic. Those are the books to go to if you want props, points buying, etc. The price you pay is the higher juice on props.

CRIS and Oly do have the drawback of 20 cent lines, but it doesn't matter one bit. You will find just as much value over the course of the season on CRIS or Olympic's 20 cent lines as you will find on Pinnacle's 8 cent lines.

Not a knock on CRIS or OLY or anyone, but hands down cannot be argued that pinnacle is the best online book for bases. That is if you just want to be at one book and over the course of the bases season wager solely there, you will save money in the long run. That cannot be disputed.

I understand what you are saying Nick that you have to shop around. There will be plenty of times that you might find a better line at an oly so its helpful to find money there. But for the novice, or better who can't afford to fund 10 books, pinnacle is the best option for bases. True, pinn might have a dodgers under 6.5 and you can get a 7 at oly. That is what you are talking about. They are a sharp book, but definitely beatable. This makes your point that you should be able to have plenty of outs.

I will not bet into a 20 cent line and that's my personal choice. But I do keep money at 7 other books to shop. I think people are misunderstanding you that you can't find value in a 20 cent line because of the way it sounds. You can find the best price at a book that offers 20 cent lines, but overall there isn't much value in the long run and ZERO value consistantly betting 20 cent bases lines.
