Took our dogs to vet (13 yr old black lab, 2 year old Havanese)
Old guy lab is restless at nite....vet prescribed 4mg Melatonin hour before bed... works great.
Little guy has been itching up a storm since our recent 20+ inches rain has sprouted everything from mutant mosquitoes in volume to vast fields of ragweed.
Vet prescribed Benadryl, we had been using about 3 mg to no avail. Vet said dogs metabolism easily can handle 1mg PER POUND of dog weight..
Our Havanese weighs 14lbs wringing wet. Gave him 12 mg seems to work and he's awake and not a zombie.:thumb:
