Hi guys..........I am just putting the finishing touches on one of my baseball pools/contests............this particular one plays on the total # of wins for the season, playoffs included. I need 8 teams , top team scores 10 for each win, next one scores 9 per win & so on down. I am going with:
NY Y , NYM, ARIZ, SEA, OAK, St.L,...............I need 2 more & I usually make up my mind on these things myself, no big deal. But , it is a small $ contest and I need to choose 2 more teams.....so anybody got any input that you want to part with? Probably going to go with Atlanta plus either SF, BOST, or CHISOX. Anybody got a sleeper among those 3 or 4? Or otherwise? Thanks, THE HITMAN
**EDIT
As of now, I am lining up this way:
NYY
SEA
St L
NYM
ATL
ARIZ
OAK-CHISOX-HOU (2 of the 3)

Just my opinion

Just my opinion

White Sox and Astros, I think they both have the pieces in place to make a run at the playoffs.

White Sox will have too win the central to make the playoffs, ( I think they will) The NL Central will have a great chance to have another wild card team in and I think the Astros have what it takes to edge out the Mets, Giants, Cubs, Phillies, JMHO. Alot of people are writing off the Astros from what I have seen.

Atlanta has to be in there. I would also add in Houston or Cleveland. I would go with Cleveland. Also consider S.F. they always seem to do well.

Lets see, we have a couple of Cleve, & a pair of Hou. One Atl, one SF, one Phil, one Angels. Not a mighty concensus by any means !! Guess that just reaffirms my thoughts..........things are pretty close to a toss up.......THE HITMAN

Here is something to think about.

Here is something to think about.

The National league is by far the toughest to call as it seems half the National league has playoff hopes coming into the season. I would pick your wild card team out of the NL central due to the new schedules where you play your own division more. The central has 3 bottom teams with no pitching. Where as in the East in West it's pretty competitive from top to bottom, this was the main factor in the Central getting two teams last season in the playoffs.

The AL East is soft...the Red Sox should be able to bag a lot of easy wins.

Good point about NL Central, Stewy. Very soft underbelly there also
