I haven't decide yet, but I will probably be betting #3. He has the best Pedigree for this distance. Will try to beat Forte.

Report Explanation

Horse Play Report Explanation

Top Portion of Report

Pts - This column shows how many points each horse earned. They are ranked top top bottom with the horse that has the
most points on top. Points are determined in the point profile. There are up to 10 configurable point profiles.
Prog - This column depicts the Program Number as found in the track program.
Power - The top 3 power rating values are displayed in this column.

The next 2 values are calculated using Dr.Sartin pace methodology.
2nd CALL - This column depicts the velocity of the horse at the second call and is expressed in feet per second. Dr.
Sartin said this was the most significant number you could hope to find. Higher the better.
Turn Time - This is also expressed in feet per second and represents the rate of speed (Velocity) a horse was
travelling in the far turn. Higher the better.

The next 5 columns are taken from Michael Pizzola's Book Handicapping Magic;
Fulcrum Pace (FP) The fastest 2nd call time of all the horses in their last race (at the same type of
distance as this race [sprint/route]). The horse that has the best 2nd call time, was "competitive" with the winner,
and the FP must not be atypically fast will be deemed the "FP" horse. Lower numbers are best. All horses that had vied
for FP horse honors, will have a value displayed in this column. The "FP" pace horse will have an FP in the Versus
Fulcrum Pace column. In case of scratches, the other horse's FP values are displayed as well.

Versus Fulcrum Pace - Once the FP is calculated, any horse who has been competitive against the FP will have a "Y" in
their column (as stated above the "FP" horse will have an FP instead of a Y). All other horses are eliminated from
betting consideration. If no horses can compete with the FP, then we will have a spot play on the FP horse.

Form Cycle Window (FCW) - For all "Y" horses, we will go back up to 10 races to calculate the best PPF and PBS (see
below). The FCW can be expanded for numerous reasons (Long layoff, Distance or surface change, trouble in last race, a
much faster pace [1 second] than FP, Drop in class, poor post position, poor break, some degree of early speed, a move
of several lengths between calls, claimed, equipment change). Note: 2 reasons are needed to open FCW to the next race.

Projected Power Fraction (PPF) - This is calculated by subtracting the 2nd call time from the final time and add 1/5th
of a second for each beaten length. The program will use the best (lowest) calculated PPF in the FCW.
Note: PPF on turf - This number can find longshots on the Turf. In fact, in turf races, no FP is calculated,
only the PPF is calculated for all horses. The FCW will be open to every turf race (up to 10 back).

Pizzola Balanced Speed Rating (PBS) - The DRF speed rating will be adjusted up or down 1 point for every 1/5th second
if the 2nd call time of that race is faster or slower than the established FP.

The next 2 columns are based on P.D Mahalik's writing's on Vegas Insider. The Top 3 values are displayed.

Total Pace Potential - A high number in this column (54 max) the higher the inclination for the horse to take the
lead. A 54 means it went gate to wire its last three races.

Closing Potential - This column represents the closing potential. There is no limit, but you better start paying
attention around nine points or higher, or just use it to compare the contenders. Sometimes a knowing lone closer, no
matter how long the number, is a valuable piece of information.

Distance Record - This column represents the number of wins versus attempts at today's distance
Surface Record - This column represents the number of wins versus attempts on today's surface.
Track record - This column represents the number of wins versus attempts at today's track

The values in the following four columns represent the Brisnet speed ratings.
Surface LR Speed - This column contains the speed rating for the last race on today's surface.
Surface 2B Speed – ditto for two races back on today's surface.
Surface 3B Speed - ditto for three races back on today's surface.
Surface 4B Speed - ditto for four races back on this surface.
Note: if a speed number is underlined, it means it was run under “Wet” or "off" conditions

Avg Spd - The average speed (calculated over 10 races) values are displayed for each horse.
Pace - This column will contain a asterick (*) sign if the horse has a pace profile that meets the par numbers for this
particular race.

Early Pace - Each horses' Brsnet pace rating will be displayed. (Higher the better).
Mid - ditto for Mid pace.
Late - ditto for Late pace

Quirin Speed Points - This column contains Quirin speed points computed for each horse. 8 points is the max.
Last W - A "Y" appears in this column if the horse won its last race.
Last Race - Days since last race will be displayed in this column.
Lasix1 - This column represents first time Lasix and is signified with a "Y"
ML - The column represents the morning line in decimals. For example 1.6 is equal to 8/5.
Run Style - "E" for early speed, "E/P" for Early Presser, "P" for Presser, or "S" for Closer

No one seemed to mention or consider the 3. I thiught I was crazy to bet it before the race. Glad I stuck with the pick...
