Nikolai Zherdev (RW) - will miss the next three games (2/25 vs Chicago, 2/27 at Chicago and 2/28 vs Colorado) while he attends his arbitration hearing which will determine whether he is eligible to continue in the NHL or go back to Russia.

take it how u will, but the team in columbus is happy with the fact that Nikolai Zherdev is out, he is the biggest defensive liability in the league. They agree he is offensively talented, but unless he is scoring, which he isnt right now, he is a detrement to the team. just terrible in the room, refuses to speak english, when some say he can.

Could not agree more Sam!

In Columbus, the team calls it being "offensively creativity." However, the lack of playing defense, taking stupid and numerous penalties, and overall lack of effort doesn't last very long in the NHL.

I was merely reporting facts about the team.

i know u were kono, just pointing out, so people dont think it hurts them tonight to be without him. And what i said isnt just my thoughts, I was told that from a player.
