one of the great mysteries of our time. he's obviously a con man, and that's all he's been successful at. but i don't get it. i don't understand how anyone listens to him and doesn't immediately realize he's full of shit. i mean, except for the MAGAs. they're just happy to have someone make them feel that it's ok to be racist. their daddy was racist, and they were taught to be racist, and they sure hated people telling them that, well, racism is bad. so this dumbass says obama wasn't born in this country and i can prove it, they're like "YES, I KNEW IT!!" doesn't matter that, no matter how many times he said he was on the verge of providing proof, he never did.
my guess is, because he started out with money, banks would lend him more. and the facade kinda perpetuated itself. lord knows he spent most of his time trying to convince people just how rich he was (which is TOTALLY what actual wealthy people do) and, as we know, if you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it.
