The only one I saw was Better Call Saul. I’ll try The Bear because of your recommendation.

i have seen these (latest seasons i guess?)

"House of the Dragon" (HBO)

"The Crown" (Apple TV+)
"The Last of Us" (HBO)

imo BCS or Last of Us wins, dark horse Andor. The Bear must win that other category, not so much pure comedy though.

The wife raves about Succession. She watched it because I turned it down.

I've watched Andor (good, but nothing great), Ted Lasso (GF finally convinced me to give it a try, and it's a lot better than I expected), and The Bear (excellent, except for that one episode).

And thank you for the reminder. I've watched all of Barry EXCEPT... I completely forgot about the last season. So I still gotta watch that. Absolutely love it. And that's one of the things I hate about streaming... with DVR, shows are set to record, so I can't forget about them.

Any thoughts on "Only Murders"? I like Steve Martin and Martin Short, but the fact that Selena Gomez is in it makes me reluctant to try it.

I found Selena's work in the this credible.
The remaining cast and plot are great.

Don't know if it matters but there are four HBO shows and just one from Disney, Apple and AMC (BCS is on Netflix). Andor is only stand alone season (so far). Last of Us and House of the Dragons are 1st season, rest of them are sequel seasons.

If woke points count HoD takes the cake...

The Bear was phenomenal. Season 2 wasn't as good IMO but still very good.

I watched all the ones above, and liked them all. Here's how I would rank them:

1. Succession
2. Ted Lasso
3. Better Call Saul
4. The Bear
5. The White Lotus
6. Barry
7. Jury Duty
8. Only Murders in the Building

While Only Murders is a decent show, it can be a bit much. Jury Duty was an amazing concept but I felt they let things get too over-the-top a few times in the middle of the series. I feel bad that I have Barry down so low because it's a really good show.

'Better Call Saul' Was Nominated for 53 Emmys, It Won 0

'Better Call Saul' had a bad case of "always the bridesmaid, never the bride," as it took home zero Emmys after 53 nominations and six seasons.

Rhea Seehorn should have won a few alone...

Apparently, The Wire also had 51 Emmy nominations and never won a single one either.
