In a way this election reminds me of local sports talk shows when people call in and say we should trade this or that or trade for whomever. People are reactionary and both sides are guilty of it. In this case I think this is a trade that shouldn't have been made. Oh well...

Sorry the sea hag and all her crooked cronies and pay to play promoters capturing the white house plan did not pan out for you.

I never have used the term a spade is a spade.....you have a lot of nerve implying bigotry or hatred when we have never met....

Please slither under a rather large rock, assume the fetal position, suck your thumb and re-appear with your long pointless diatribes when we least expect it....:0008
Hey, you were the one all excited about all this "political correctness" going away. Isn't that what you said, or am I paraphrasing? So you inferred you're own bigotry, I simply pointed out your excitement. We both know what you meant, but you go ahead and deny it. Generally, bigots aren't much for telling the truth, so I didn't expect much in the first place

Change for the sake of change seems like a poor excuse. Voting against the best interests of you and your family is dumb. We got to see the alternative to Obama and it was recession and war. Obama gave us economic recovery and growth and reformed the health care system. 22 million people will lose health care when Obama care is repealed. Dumb. Sorry, but he offered nothing but empty promises. That was good enough for some but not me.

Pretty awesome how you know what is best for 59.7 million families that are not yours:0074 Guess it makes sense however since your guy O didn't care what the majority said either. As someone that did and has voted Libertarian for years, I have zero belief in either of the parties and the smucks they nominate. Having said that, if you and others can not see why Trump won, and just chalk it up to racism, sexism, and lack of education, then you probably don't need to call others dumb. Obama went left and thumbed his nose at the majority. That same majority was then labeled a lot of things including "dumb" because they had the audacity to disagree with Obama and the like minded media. That same majority saw four more years of the same shit coming with Clinton and they had an opportunity to do something about it.

I didn't vote for Obama either time, so he's not my guy. I can tell you that as someone that can't stand either party, one has done well for the country and one has fucked things up.

I haven't said shit about racism, sexism, or lack of education. I said it was dumb. People can make dumb decisions, like voting a reality TV star as president of the United States of America.

For the 10th time, the majority voted for Clinton. And yes, I find it dumb to vote against 4 more years of what Obama has presided over (economic growth) in favor of what the reality TV star and the Republicans bring to the table (economic policies that resulted in a massive recession).

You mad bro?

I'm not weak minded enough to claim victory for another person's accomplishment, nor do I lack the intestinal fortitude to understand that I'm not always on the winning side.

Really good to hear from you though. I haven't been on much lately, but it is always good to know that I can always count on you to be an overall hideously shitty person all the time for no reason whatsoever.

Appreciate being called dumb. Maybe I am glad to never visit the political forum. Sorry for your embarrassment. I am leaving this thread now. Sheesh.

Maybe Kim Kardashian will run in the next cycle. She's a reality show star with good business sense and no military or public office experience.

Well that certainly sums up where we are. One side blaming the other for all the ills of the country

Should probably tell you something about how the other side is doing if America would rather have a "reality TV star" than his opponent

I assumed everyone understood the electoral vote and the importance of all states not just the most heavily populated ones, sorry.

Just to give some of my political history for some context, I interned for a Republican state rep in 1996 and was a card-carrying Young Republican from 96-98. I voted for Bush in 2000, Badnarik (Libertarian) in 2004, and Obama in 2008 and 2012. Funnily enough, I don't think my political ideology has changed much. I've just seen a relatively centrist Republican party go further and further right. I didn't leave them - they left me.

I watched during the Bush presidency as the right consistently said "Hey, we were attacked and we're at war. Even if you don't agree with him or the war, you have to support our President." How quickly that went up in a cloud of dust in 2008. He hadn't even been inaugurated yet and the Tea Party movement was in full swing. It wasn't enough that they disagreed with his ideas, he had to be labeled an evil Socialist and compared to Hitler. I've heard on here and elsewhere (paraphrasing) "if you think this election was about misogyny, racism, and Islamophobia you haven't been paying attention and don't understand what really gave rise to this." Well similarly, if you don't understand why there are protests and the "not my president" movement, then you haven't been paying attention to the level of disrespect that the right has had for Obama the last 8 years. This is tit for tat. Is that the mature response? No, but that's where we are.

You don't like Hillary? Fine - there's a lot there to not like. But the right can't leave it at that. She has to be labeled "the most corrupt politician in history" and linked to ludicrous murder conspiracy theories worthy of tin foil hats. Is that sufficient reason to give a reality TV star the keys to the nuclear arsenal? A man with such little actual business sense that he left the casino business because he couldn't figure out how to make money at it? Not in my opinion.

So do not expect "healing". You will see the same obstructionism from Democrats that you saw from Republicans in Obama's first 2 years. Expect many a fillibuster. Again - tit for tat.

I do understand that, by and large, the American people don't like dynasties in politics. Going from Bush to Clinton to Bush to Obama and then back to Clinton again does not scream "change" to people who desperately need things to change. I just wish it was in service of a better candidate. Republicans needed another Ronald Reagan. Donald Trump is not Reagan. Maybe I'll be proven wrong.

But the bottom line is we still have the same broken system. Just as there were delusional people on the left in the streets of Chicago in 2008 saying "I don't need to worry about how I'm going to pay my rent anymore!" so there are now delusional people on the right saying "Trump's going to bring all the jobs back!" and it will be the same result. Disappointment - disenfranchisement - and eventually a wholesale housecleaning in Congress and Dems will get their shot again. Rinse and repeat.

"I pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again"

I am definitely blaming the party that was in control that fucked things up and I am definitely giving credit to the one in control when the ship was turned around. Morons can't make a connection and just keep voting one way no matter what, that's dumb. This was like a social experiment where we wanted to see how far we could push people before they would reject their own party. Time to dig deeper, I guess.

I like how in the next breath you blame the "other side" for making a reality TV star a more attractive candidate. Sometimes people are just plain dumb and vote against their best interest.

The majority of Americans voted for the loser. Trump won the most electoral votes. There's a difference and Trump himself said the electoral college system was BS right before the election. Seems weird/wrong that we have had 2 of the last 3 Republican wins without getting the majority vote.

I say the same thing about staunch dems, like you, who vote one way for a lifetime.

I know this, my mom watches fox news constantly and is an over the top republican suporter. You wouldnt call her a moron in my presence without me lighting you up or dying trying.

Hilarious. Obama gave us recovery and growth and reformed healthcare system. Are you paying more, MUCH MORE, for it today than 8 years ago as you sign up for early enrollment for next year? What economic growth? You say empty promises yet he is two days since elected and not President yet? Be realistic at least.

Can we change the subject to wine or golf now please between you and I?

Hillary, and her hatchet team Warren, Obama, CNN et al offered nothing but hate and fear. She did not talk issues all she talk was fear mongering. Look at the streets of our big cities. Burning the flag! Jesus. The people are so full of hate. It is a disgrace.

Stevie,
First time I disagree with you. I think Pocohantas would have made a good president.
