I am going out with a bang. This play looks so obvious, it almost scares me. I was waiting for the lines to come out for this final week, and this one just jumped off the page at me.
I would have put this line at 9, and perhaps even 10 points. I told myself that if the line was 7-9.5 I'd play it for a standard bet ($200). At 10, I'd pass. When I saw this line come out at only 6.5, I was in shock.
I've already pulled the trigger on this with a sizable bet -- but am contemplating making this my largest wager in history (I won't even say how much).
Can someone please explain to me how Dallas is going to cover this number? I am in the process of winding down my game analysis and fell no sense of credibility with the group. But I just can't conceive of Dallas having any emotion for this final game -- given the coaching situation (Campo out, Coslett out, etc.). Right now, Campo does not even know if he'll be coachig the team for the final game, according to reports. Dallas' offensive line is one of the worst in football -- and now is even worse since just about every starter is gone for the season. This offense can't run the ball, and can't score -- as shown the last two weeks. This is rock bottom for the Cowboys, who have absolutely no incentive to play hard on Sunday.
Washington, for all its troubles, is in a HUGE revenge situation. This is THE GAME they can break the 10-game losing streak to Dallas. Every player in Washington should be up for this game. Redskins know Spurrier will be the coach next season, so the team should play tough, as they did against Texans on Sunday. Indeed, Redksins have played pretty well in the second half of the season -- never quitting at any point.
Dallas HAS quit.
Coach gone. No offensive line. Emmit Smith fuming. Rookie QB. Washington should have won the first game by 10-points had it not been for the late interception. Best of all, this line is inside of 7 points, which strikes me as unbelievable.
I'm the ultimate contrarian, but what can possibly justify a wager on the Cowboys in this game. Anyone? Help!
