If you think football is fixed stop betting it! If you honestly think the NFL would throw away BILLIONS to screw you out of 100 bucks you are insane. Just because a game had a crazy ending doesn't make it a fix. The "leaping" call was AWFUL. But it had virtually NO impact on the outcome of the spread. The odds of the Bucs scoring a TD to win the game with 6 minutes left was slim to none anyway. And if the refs wanted too, they could have called a few holding penalties on the bucs next drive to prevent them from getting a TD.

Could it be that some refs are just bad?

Like some have been saying. If they wanted the colts to cover, they wouldnt have let the bucs go ahead by 21. if you actually thought about it, you would realize how foolish you sound.

I'm a big believer in Occam's Razor which is, basically: All things being equal, the simplest solution is usually the correct one.

So what did we have last night? A great QB leading a great offense against a tiring defense combined with a liberal sprinkling of bad officiating. Mix well and bake at 350 and what do you have? An incredible, improbable victory for the Colts. The leaping call was preposterous, but not any moreso than the running into the kicker on Rhodes a few plays before.

Arguing whether a game is fixed or not is like arguing religion. Those who believe will just say that it's obvious and right in front of your face, and those that do not believe will rely on the fact that there's no tangible proof. Sure, I believe that some games, even pro, may be fixed, but only because in a multi-billion dollar industry where there is money and a will there is a way. But I completely discredit the idea that ANYONE can point to ANY specific game and say "that one was fixed." Why? Because what's the difference between a fix and an incredible comeback? More times than not, the differenence is whatever side you were on.

So apparently now I'm supposed to call into question every improbable thing I've seen in sports, huh? I've seen Bill Buckner lose a ball between his legs in the World Series. That must be a fix. I've seen Scott Norwood miss a 40 yard field goal to win the Super Bowl. That must be a fix. I've seen Adam Vinatieri kick 2 FGs in a blizzard after a bizzare "tuck" rule call. Obviously, that's a fix. 2 years ago I saw the Bears score 2 TDs in under a minute to beat the Browns. That must be a fix. I could go on and on . . . So, yes, while I do believe that it is possible to fix a game in ANY sport, I think the VAST majority of the time (like 99.99999%) when you see something improbable it's just a one in a million shot or crappy officiating and nothing more.

Bottom line is that you can cap a game perfectly and still lose. Either deal with it or stop betting.

By the way, the only action I had on the game last night was over 3.5 FGs. So personally, I think it was a conspiracy that 73 points were scored and only 1 f'n FG. :)
