SIXERS -4

I'm liking the SIXERS to close this one by game's end. HOU will falter in second half after yesterday's DOUBLE OT game, 4th in FIVE, etc.... YAO needed fluids after yesterday's game, wouldn't be surprised to see some tightness happen in the legs of HOU starters later in this one... they'll need the rest and get it, and that's when AI, who never comes out, will get his pts and the cover for PHILLY!

I was bitching that I wasn't gonna play for a while, but I'm back for more as usual.

5 units on over 87

Philly -4/o 87 4.5 units to win 11.7 units

Feel pretty good about the Sixers making a game of it. Think it's close at the end with the Sixers either coming up a point or two short or winning by a stick. Over will hit because of either OT or free throws.

Edited to say what a joke of a play this was.

4 points in 4 god damn minutes...that's just swell.

6 points in 5 minutes on 2-22 combined shooting. Man, I sure can pick them.

I actually got them at -3.5 so I played it as a DOUBLE! :D

I'm on the UNDER for the game so I didn't touch the total. Something I'll be doing soon, NBA teams scoring averages do NOT take into account OT games. If a team plays alot of OT games, their scoring average is going to be off, due to the extra scoring periods. I'll be updating my database to reflect this so we get a TRUE scoring average for each team for 48 minutes, not 53 or 58 as can be the case.

Checking out the HOUS/PHILA game is what sparked my memory as I tracked this for years, long ago, and found it to be quite beneficial. I would have games lined at 188 and line would be 193 or something. It can make a pt to 2 pts difference early in the season on a team's scoring average....

Food for thought... I'll let you know when I finish my work on it.

A couple more games coming up... back to work!

ATL -3 ** DOUBLE PLAY **
OVER 92.5
KNICKS -5

After a horrible start by ATL, HAWKS came back and made this a game again. I think they continue in second half and pull this game out and would expect the pace to be more upbeat like the 2Q as opposed to the first.

KNICKS are not a good team, but I believe they'll make this a game in 2nd Half, pulling to within 8 or so... I don't give them a chance to win, but they did have a 24-0 run the other nite, only to falter and lose at the end. They are capable of a big run and I think they get one and make less than double digits by end, but still a loss for their hopeful fans...

BOSTON has owned the KNICKS for awhile, don't see it changing. I would also lean to OVER.... pace is all BOST and if NY continues to run with them, BOST should easily hit for 50 more, needing only 38 from NY, which I don't want to see since I'm on NY, but I think both teams hit for about 40 for BOS, 48 for the KNICKS to get the OVER.

I have BOS and OVER in game, so I'm not doubling up my play. Like where I'm sitting...

FYI:

Tyron Lue has the flu, he's gonna get dogged by Arroyo, this game has blow out written all over it, Magic drop to 1-10 and Doc gets fired tomorow IMO
